An elegant, long shiny black hair girl with a knack for playing complex and strong-willed female leads, enormously popular actress Digangana Suryavanshi starred in several films which defined what many would come to call Bollywood's "A New Era". Digangana has been more than a capable match for some of the biggest macho stars in both the Tollywood and Bollywood Industry.

Digangana Suryavanshi was born on October 15, 1997, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. After a month Digangana was brought to Mumbai. She is the only child. Her father Neeraj Suryavanshi is a businessman and her mother Sarita Neeraj Suryavanshi is a homemaker. Digangana lives in Mumbai with her parents. Digangana Suryavanshi was only 7 years old when she made a memorable debut in TV series Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat in 2002.

She was only 14 years old when she wrote her original single titled "I'm missing you", which she dedicated to her maternal grandmother. Suryavanshi also played supporting roles in shows like Shakuntala (2009), Krishna Arjun at the age of 7, and Ruk Jaana Nahin (2011-12). Suryavanshi landed her big break with Star Plus soap opera Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera (2012-15) in the lead role, where she played the title role. Her character name was Veera Kaur Sampooran Singh in the popular Star Plus TV series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas: Veera (2012). In 2015, at the age of 17, she was the youngest celebrity contestant to have participated in the reality show Bigg Boss (2006).

She beat out many young actresses for the coveted role of Veera in Ek Veer ki Ardaas... Veera and the television series became a worldwide hit, making her a star.

Digangana wrote two books until now. The first book was published on her 15th birthday. The book is titled "WAVES - The Endless Emotions". Digangana wrote her second book "Nixie the Mermaid and The Power of Love" which was released on her 16th birthday.

Digangana Suryavanshi completed her 12th board from Mithibai College, where she sat the exams during the shooting of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. Digangana continued acting while giving equal importance to education. Digangana is pursuing BA from Mumbai University and is in her final years. Suryavanshi debuted in Bollywood with two films, FryDay (2018) , also starring Govinda & Varun Sharma and Jalebi (2018). Both films were released on 12 October 2018. Suryavanshi acted in the lead role with Govinda in the comedy film Rangeela Raja (2019), which was released on 18 January 2019.

In 2019 She made an entry in Tollywood with 'Hippi' movie in 2018 which was a hit and gave new heights to Digangana's career. Her second Telugu Thriller Movie 'Valayam' became the most-watched Tollywood movie. Digangana made her Tamil debut in 2019 by playing the lead role in Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale.

Suryavanshi played the lead actress in the Telugu film Hippi, which was directed by Obeli N. Krishna. A writer for Firstpost.com, Hemanth Kumar, wrote that Suryavanshi, "is good in her role and she might be the only one who took her role far too seriously in the film. Right from her introduction scene to the climax, she's consistently good in terms of her body language and her attitude that the role required." She has continued to seek challenging roles, such as a young journalist in Sampath Nandi's upcoming film Seetimaarr (2021).
