Inderveer Sodhi is a Canadian filmmaker, composer, and actor known for intimate, character-driven stories that explore identity and the emotional legacies we carry, woven into a canvas of magical realism. As founder and head of Sodhi Productions Inc.-devoted to soul-stirring cinema and music-he has released two globally distributed theatrical feature films and three studio albums.
At 19, he began production on his debut feature, Monster (2019), a coming-of-age drama set against the backdrop of gang violence among South Asian youth in Surrey. Written, directed, scored, and starring Sodhi, the film premiered to sold-out audiences, was covered nationally by CBC and Global News, and now streams on Prime Video.
His second feature, Confessions of a Superhero (2022), follows an anonymous therapist in the fictional town of Maddenville, saving kids who never had the chance to grow up. The film secured Sodhi Productions Inc. its first global distribution deal, leading to a worldwide release on AppleTV. For the role of Samar Khan, Sodhi underwent a dramatic physical transformation-losing 25 pounds after previously gaining 15 for Monster.
Sodhi's next feature, 8 (2027), is a spiritual drama about a dying father, his unborn daughter, and the karmic ripples between them. Spanning two decades across timelines in 2005 and 2025, it is a story of faith and the legacies of love and loss, marking his most personal and spiritually charged work to date.
