Born in Adelaide, Alexander Lloyd is an actor, writer and award winning producer, best known for his work on Netflix's Gymnastics Academy, and in the upcoming series Become The One, playing Tom Eliades.
Of Greek/Cypriot and Egyptian heritage, Alexander completed five years of Law School before transitioning to a career on the stage and screen. He has been fortunate enough to training with highly respected acting coaches including Les Chantery (Les Chantery Studios), Iain Sinclair (16th Street), Damian Walshe-Howling, Michael Sheasby, Ben Mathews, Anthony Meindl, Erica Chestnut, Anthony Brandon Wong, Andy McPhee and Jasper Bagg.
His other screen appearances include 'I Fall To Pieces', 'La Brea' (NBC), 'Five Bedrooms' (Paramount+) and 'Why Are You Like This' (Dir. Adam Murfet & Jessie Oldfield). Feature films credits include; Awoken (Dir. Daniel Phillips), and A Second Chance: Rivals - a role which he reprised in 'Gymnastics Academy'.
His theatre credits include Angus Cameron's acclaimed new work 'For Love Nor Money' (Dir. Justin Nott), 'Gruesome Playground Injuries' (Dir. Erica Chestnut), Shanley's 'Where's My Money' (Dir. Hayden Burke) and 'Blackrock' (Dir. Nicola Bowman). As well as Much Ado About Nothing (Dir. Tanya Schneider) and Taming of the Shrew (Dir. Jennifer Sarah Dean).
Behind the scenes, Alexander is a writer and producer. His producing credits include the play 'Gruesome Playground Injuries', and short films, 'Cut Out' and 'Glasshouse' (selected in Adelaide Film Festival 2020), and his most recent short 'The Unrequited Life of Farrah Bruce' the recipient of best short film at the Adelaide Film Festival 2023.
Alexander is also a classically trained pianist and is a proud member of the MEAA.
