Andrii Lagutin was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. His father was a notable diver and documentary filmmaker, and his mother was a former professional water skier and florist.
From a young age, Andrii loved filmmaking. By high school, he enrolled in the directing program at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. During university, he produced works like "Exit to the Right" and "The Case," showcased at festivals, but later shifted to directing music videos.
Andrii directed music videos for well-known Ukrainian artists and commercials for various companies. His career was thriving until the war in 2022. While vacationing abroad, Andrii couldn't return home and ended up in Prague, Czech Republic. There, he rediscovered his passion for filmmaking, writing the short film "Three Weeks" and developing the script for "All Hearts of Tom," which became his life's goal.
