Ahead of a planned 2025 release, the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Rocket Shokai and Mephisto's Sentenced to Be a Hero light novels today revealed three more cast members, adding to leads Yohei Azakami and Mayu Iizuka: Patausche Kivia voiced by Shizuka Ishigami (Ikumi in Food Wars! The new anime Sentenced to Be a Hero just revealed a fresh visual and its main voice cast, along with the 2025 release date. The anime, produced by Studio Kai, had first teased the project with a trailer back in March 2024.

The anime’s main characters are voiced by Yohei Azakami and Mayu Iizuka. Azakami plays Xylo Forbatz, a former leader of the Holy Knights who becomes a Punishment Hero after killing a “Goddess”.

Despite his rough exterior, he has a compassionate side, always ready to help those in need. Azakami shared his excitement about the role, saying the teaser’s dynamic animation and soundtrack drew him in. He’s eager for fans to experience Xylo’s emotional and intense journey.

Iizuka voices Teoritta, a proud “Goddess” of swords who partners with Xylo. She can summon a variety of powerful swords, including Holy and demonic ones. Teoritta enjoys being praised and has a self-sacrificing side,...
