Monica Phillips(II)

Monica Phillips is an actor and physician sub-specialized in anatomic and clinical pathology, cytopathology, and women's pathology. She is a native of the Pacific Northwest and trained in Los Angeles where she obtained her BS and MD at the University of Southern California. She was voted 'most likely to leave medicine to pursue a career in acting', and has continued to pursue a dual career in the noble professions of acting and medicine. While at USC she performed in a host student productions including co-direction of the medical school's production of the Vagina Monologues. She continued to entertain patients and staff throughout her pathology residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and emceed the department graduation ceremonies. She now balances time between patient care and acting while broadly exploring the human condition. She enjoys supporting local artists, performing in films, music videos, sketch and stand up comedy, and developing scripts for film and television. She is active in her local Santa Barbara improv community and has performed in multiple improv shows with her troupe, The Reverberators.
