Luana Fitzgerald

Luana Fitzgerald is a Swiss and US-American actress, filmmaker, and host. She grew up in Bern, Switzerland and lived in California, USA for several years. At the age of 19, Luana moved to Santa Barbara, California. There she studied film, TV & Film production and acting. She later attended the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in Los Angeles, where she completed her acting conservatory. Since then, she has appeared in numerous plays and films in the USA and Switzerland. Her roles include portraying Rachael, a cunning con artist, in 'Birthday' (2019), a film showcased at various international festivals and acclaimed with a total of 24 awards. She also portrayed Celine, who struggles to connect with her cancer-stricken and demanding mother in 'I Spy with My Little Eye' (2022). Furthermore, she takes on the lead role of Cecilia, the owner of a Memory-transfer Clinic, in the sci-fi short film 'Maya und das Imperfekt' (2024), set to debut on the festival circuit in 2024. Luana Fitzgerald also holds a bachelor's degree in media and communication and works as a host and editor at SRG D. She is fascinated by complex, multi-layered female characters and strives to contribute to diversity as a filmmaker. Her goal is to continuously work in the English and German speaking film industry in Europe and the USA.
