Jerry Brewer is a Brazilian-American actor, writer, director, producer, and singer from Detroit living in Los Angeles. During his pre-professional life in Michigan he worked to develop his craft as an actor in theatre repertoire of plays and musicals such as Don't Rock the Boat and Les Misérables. He has also participated in award winning films including Signs and The Art of Betrayal alongside actor, writer, and director Tyler Harding, being recognized in the Chicago-Southland International and All American Film Festivals. His past actor training includes a background in Stanislavski-based film training instructed by actress, writer, director Aïda Muñoz in The Actor's Workshop Detroit.
Jerry is a graduate from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's of Arts in Theatre with and Acting Emphasis, a minor in Cinematic Arts, and exploring the secrets of the universe with a Bachelor's of Science in Physics. At USC, Jerry studied under professors just as world-renowned Stanislavski expert, actress, and director Dr. Sharon Carnicke, Juilliard graduate Mary Joan Negro, actors Paul Urcioli and Stevie Johnson at the School of Dramatic Arts. He is also learning screenwriting under veteran screenwriter and actor Jim Staahl at the school of Cinematic Arts.
