Stephen lived in Boonton New Jersey most of his life before moving to New Mexico in 1986 with his wife and two children. He worked in casino industry for twenty years in management and for the Casino Gaming Commission. In 2015 he appeared in a featured role in the television series Dusk Till Dawn season three. From there he appeared in some small featured films until he landed a recurring role in the Television series Get Short where he played a Mob Bodyguard in season one.

In 1982 Stephen was introduced to pop star Michael Jackson Managers and Promotors by a mutual parties. A meeting was held in East Orange NJ Jersey where Stephen was hired to be Mr Jackson personal Body guard during a private party celebrating the success of his hit album Beat It. His wife Nancy was placed on Mr Jackson guest list as well. Because of contract disputes the event was canceled , Stephen never met Mr Jackson.
