Kendell Byrd is a dynamic and versatile voice actor and writer based in Los Angeles, CA (but originally from Chicago, IL). You can hear Kendell in animated projects such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Barbie, and Rainbow High and video games such as Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy, Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, Starfield and Atlas Fallen. Growing up, Kendell has always had a passion for storytelling (with a focus on stories for and about queer people and people of color) as well as technology and animation.
Kendell's first job after college was at Buzzfeed, where she was on the Production Tools team and produced narrative videos highlighting different folks of color across the community! After Buzzfeed, Kendell really wanted to lean into her other passion of animation, so went on to work for Dreamworks Animation where she worked on the shows Fast and Furious: Spy Racers, Dragons: Rescue Riders, and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Kendell also does theater in LA where she has worked with the Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center (Wallis Studio Ensemble), The Independent Shakespeare Company, and Cornerstone Theater Company. In her free time, Kendell loves playing board games/table-top and listening to all things musical theater.
