Tre Houston

Originally hailing from Houston, Texas, Tre Houston (Rowland W. Folensbee III) is an award-winning Nashville hip hop artist, writer, and producer. Houston has been writing and producing music for well over a decade, performing in venues across the country with songs featured in numerous films and Television shows. He also owns and runs the Nashville-based music licensing firm The Musically Connected.

Houston's film and television credits include songs featured in Empire of Light (2022), Glee (2009), House of Lies (2012), Hustle in Brooklyn (2018), Queen America (2018), Hemlock Grove (2013), Remodeled (2012), Plain Jane (2010), Stalker (2014), Rush (2014), ABC Family's movie Christmas Bounty (2013), NBC and CBS sports programming, numerous commercials, and live performances in both seasons of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's [lnk=tt3453566] on TV. He has performed in Los Angeles, California, at the Fonda Theater for the premiere of [lnk=tt3453566] on TV's second season. Houston continues to push the creative envelope by demonstrating his talent through various genres. He has co-written half of the ACM-nominated Country band The Lost Trailers' "Between Stages" EP.

Houston was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition in both 2013 and 2015, and was a finalist in 2018 for his collaboration with Jared Mitchell on the song "Peace X Peace". He won Endee Magazine's Artist of the Week in April of 2013, and won Muse Magazine's Club Song of the Year Award for his song "What Happened? (Movin')."

Houston resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to work on numerous musical projects. Some of these projects include the writing and production of animated Sesame Street shorts with The Lonely Island, and work with renowned producers Dave Tough, DJ Adkins, Ax Stinnett and Tyler Norris. His most recent EP "Mine," was released in 2018 and his upcoming album "Let It Rain" is due in 2020.
