Yu-Gi-Oh! fans finally have something new to check out, even though it might not be exactly what they were expecting. When the franchise's new series, Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles, came to life, it was easy to get excited by the visuals of the project. Better yet, Konami Animation revealed it would stream for free on YouTube. The only catch is that the show is not a full-blown anime series, and episodes are essentially short films released monthly. The second episode, titled "Sky Striker Ace Ⅱ: Sky Striker Ace — Roze," is already available to stream.

The new episode is a direct continuation of the first one, which was released a month ago. In the first episode, we met Sky Striker Ace — Raye (voiced by Anna Nagase) in the middle of a dangerous and action-packed mission to rescue Roze (Nene Hieda). In the new episode, the story is told from the perspective of Roze.

With the latest entry of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise coming to an end last month, fans of the long-running anime series are still on the lookout for any announcement about what's next. While they wait, however, Konami Animation won't leave them hanging. This week, the animation studio released the first chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Card Game Chronicles for free on YouTube. The series is a different format for the franchise: It focuses on the lore of the trading cards from the game, so it takes place "inside" the universe of the cards. The first episode is titled “Sky Striker Ace – Raye.”

The episode starts in media res and shows the title character Raye (voiced by Anna Nagase) in the middle of a dangerous mission. Inside her futuristic ship, she is out to rescue Roze (Nene Hieda). In order to do that, however, she needs to fight her way through Sky Striker Ace – Zeke.

Konami Animation has begun publishing a new short form anime web series entitled Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game The Chronicles that focuses on stories and characters of the popular trading card game within the mixed media franchise. The first episode focuses on “Sky Striker Ace - Raye”, and it features the voice talents of Anna Nagase as Raye and Nene Hieda as Roze . For better or worse, isekai is one of the biggest anime genres over the last decade, leading many fans to wonder what the best isekai anime available on streaming are.
