Dawn Williams was born in Stamford, Connecticut. Her brother, Trevor Williams, is an actor, model, and firefighter in Los Angeles. Dawn began performing at age three, and was able to continue as she and her family traveled doing emergency relief work her whole preadult life. She followed her brother to Los Angeles, to Azusa Pacific University, where she got her BFA in Acting for the Stage & Screen. Throughout her training, Dawn had the unique advantage of being trained for both the stage (her first two years), while her last two years focused on film and television training. She most recently played the role of Abigail in The Crucible, directed by Award Winner Oanh Nguyen. Her recent film, Carguments, premiered in April (2018) and was directed by Judson Morgan. She exercises her expertise by teaching voice, piano, and dance to children both locally and in Haiti/The Dominican Republic.
