Joscha Baltha is a German actor and director. He studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich.
From the 2020/21 to 2022/23 season, Joscha Baltha was a member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Projects have taken him to Münchner Kammerspiele the Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg Platz and the Volkstheater Wien.
He has appeared on screen in film and streaming projects by Alexander Kluge, Oskar Roehler, Hannu Salonen, and others.
As a director, he has worked behind the camera with Gisela Getty, Harry Goaz, Ulli Lommel, Dietrich Kuhlbrodt, Rosa van Praunheim, Julian Rosefeldt, and many more.
In 2025, his film Sans Tête became part of the permanent collection of the Kunstmuseen Krefeld.
In 2017, he performed in Trüffel Trüffel Trüffel (directed by Felix Rothenhäusler) at the Münchner Kammerspiele, which earned him a nomination for "Young Actor of the Year" by the theater magazine Theater Heute.
