Kelly Thiebaud Back To ‘General Hospital’
Image
After her Dr. Britt Westbourne character died as a result of being attacked with a poisonous hook, Daytime Emmy Award winner Kelly Thiebaud is set for a return to “General Hospital” next month, it was announced on Friday.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, the actress is back at the soap starting in July, although the role she’ll be playing remains under wraps, leaving fans to wonder if Thiebaud will be playing a new character or if somehow Britt is being resurrected.

When last seen, Britt died after exhibiting symptoms of Huntington’s disease, known as a rare incurable neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system which causes nerve cells in the brain to decay over time.

“It is good to be home,” said Thiebaud in a statement released to Deadline.

“I am thrilled to have Kelly back on our show,” shared executive producer Frank Valentini. “We...

The Best Station 19 Episodes, Ranked
Image
Some of the episodes discussed in this piece cover topics like sexual assault and suicidal ideation.

Station 19 joined ABC's Thursday lineup in 2018 as a spinoff of Grey's Anatomy, which is centered around the firefighters and paramedics of Seattle's fictional Station 19. Now in its seventh -- and final -- season, Station 19 began after Ben Warren (Jason George), the husband of Grey's Anatomy's Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), decided that he no longer wanted to be a surgeon and instead wanted to serve Seattle as a first responder. When Warren joins Station 19, he begins working with a powerful, heroic group of people who put the lives of the community before their own.

Originally led by Pruitt Herrera (Miguel Sandoval), Station 19 prides itself on being a family that cares for each other. They've seen each other through marriage, divorce, children, new love, and both anticipated and unexpected loss.

Station 19 Showrunners Reveal Storyline Plans for Next Season Before Cancelation
Image
Station 19 showrunners Zoanne Clack and Peter Page discuss the plans for the series' future. They also outline where it would have headed if not for its Season Seven cancelation.

Speaking to Deadline, Clack and Page opened up about what they had planned for the hit ABC series ahead of its cancelation. When asked what stories a potential eighth season would have told, Page responded, "There were stories. Would we have loved to do a whole story where Beckett starts dating Ginny and how they get folded into the Sullivan/Ross relationship in an interesting way? Yes!"

Related Yellowstone Spinoff, 1923, Gets Major Filming Update

The acclaimed Yellowstone spinoff series, 1923, gets an exciting update after delays caused by last year's Hollywood strikes.

"There was also a Carina arc," Clack added. "She was maybe just a little bit trepidatious about medicine and practicing medicine and wanted to be out in the field more and do an Ems fellowship.

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 8 Review: Ushers of the New World
Station 19 (2018)
It's hard to point it out, but the end is most definitely in sight.

While Station 19 Season 7 Episode 8 had many enjoyable elements, it unquestionably set things up for the series finale and laid the foundation for what we can expect from some characters.

And Jinny's statement about being one and family at the close of the hour? It felt every bit as much about Station 19 as a series, with a wonderful cast and crew and devoted, passionate fans, as it was about the firehouse.

If most of Station 19 Season 7 coasted by feeling like we were getting episodes but weren't leading up to a grand sendoff, "Ushers of the New World" was a punch in the "feels."

It's the first real-time that we couldn't avoid the fact that, as of now, the end is in sight.

And it made it an emotional hour, not because we were dealing with tough storylines,...

Why Jack Gibson Left Station 19 & Why the Episode Was So Controversial
Image
Station 19's Jack Gibson was a fan-favorite character even after his departure from the series. Since Gibson left, many fans found his departure sad and heart-wrenching. Thankfully, while he's not a series regular, Gibson is still a presence on the show, appearing for key scenes in Station 19.

Since its beginning in 2018, Station 19 has not just been a show about firefighters; it has been a show about family. The firefighters on the Station 19 team have supported each other through unimaginable losses, family issues, relationships beginning and ending, and so much more. Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz), now the Captain of Station 19, has always made a point of talking about the team at 19 as a family, no matter where life takes them.

When Station 19's seventh season began in March 2024, viewers knew there would be some endings coming. Before the season began, ABC had already announced...

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 5 Review: My Way
Station 19 (2018)
Milestones have a way of delivering the best.

It's most likely because of the nostalgia. While Station 19 Season 7 Episode 5 didn't go out of its way to give us this distinctly huge installment that marked its 100th episode run, it still succeeded at delivering a full circle hour that celebrated many of the characters.

And by the end of the hour, you found yourself lamenting this cancellation again and longing for some success with the #SaveStation19 campaign.

If S.W.A.T. can continue to cheat death and have reverse cancellations, why can't one of our favorite "wee-woo" shows?

While there's no question that there have been some rocky moments throughout Station 19 Season 7 thus far, "My Way" was a reminder that the series still is capable of having exciting installments with many stories left to tell.

Andy Herrera is at the show's center, so it felt fitting that a milestone installment would celebrate a significant event for her.

Former Anthrax Singer John Bush Fronts New Supergroup Category 7
Image
Veteran metal vocalist John Bush is fronting a new supergroup dubbed Category 7, and the band has already inked a deal with Metal Blade Records.

The outfit features Bush alongside guitarists Phil Demmel and Mike Orlando, bassist Jack Gibson (Exodus), and drummer Jason Bittner.

It was Demmel and Orlando who initially conceived the idea for the supergroup, sharing the desire to form a classic twin guitar unit a la Thin Lizzy. Bittner and Gibson were the next two on board, and after demoing early material, the musicians tapped Bush to be the frontman.

“Mike Orlando’s and Phil Demmel’s awesome riffs made writing lyrics over the music a piece of cake,” Bush said via a press release. “The rhythm tandem of Bittner and Gibson rounded out the sound and the connection felt like it was put together in the stars. Obviously, everyone being a veteran of the metal scene made it that much easier.

Station 19 Round Table: Is Nineteen Failing Vic & Should Theo Have Resigned?
Sera Trimble
Nineteen had an incredibly harrowing day.

And we have an incredibly opinionated round table regarding Station 19 Season 7 Episode 4.

Maybe you'll love or loathe it, but no one holds back!

Join Ellie Mv, Heather M., and TV Fanatics Sara Trimble and Hailey Whitmire White as they discuss the episode in full!

What was your impression of this highly intense episode high on emotions?

Ellie: I'm going to sound heartless for saying that, but the episode has made me feel nothing on emotions. Why? Because the writers, the synopsis, and the trailers have the gift to make the episodes sound intense when it's not the case after watching it. And that's what happened with this episode.

Sara: I agree with Ellie: nothing, nada, zip. I see where they thought they were going with the emotional triggers. But I'm disassociated with the entire station.

I can't connect with anything or anyone this season.

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 3 Review: True Colors
L'effet veuf (2023)
We're burning through so many storylines at the pace of a wildfire.

Of all the installments thus far, Station 19 Season 7 Episode 3 perfectly encapsulated how the truncated final season has resulted in the series attempting to cram a bunch of storylines into half the time.

And it's such an unfortunate thing. So many of the storylines we have right now deserve breathing room to develop properly.

If there were times during Station 19 Season 6 when it felt like storylines were dragging on too long, the current season has the opposite effect.

One's head is spinning from how many different things are introduced only to shift.

It's still a bit jarring how they shuffled Jack Gibson off into the sunset with little indication of his future. Based on our Grey Damon interview, it doesn't sound like we'll be finding out anything new about what Jack is up to anytime soon.

Introducing a situation...

Station 19 star joins Fire Country for backdoor pilot (spin-off) called Sheriff Country
Billy Burke, Diane Farr, Jules Latimer, Kevin Alejandro, Max Thieriot, Jordan Calloway, and Stephanie Arcila in Fire Country: Pompiers sur appel (2022)
Fire Country has found immense success on Friday nights for CBS.

The firefighting drama stars Max Thieriot from Seal Team (Clay Spenser) and Bates Motel (Dylan Massett). He plays Bode Donovan (Leone).

The network has had lots of success with its NCIS Universe and the trio of FBI shows, so CBS wants to see if a Fire Country spin-off will work.

An upcoming episode of Fire Country is called Alert the Sheriff, and it is a planned backdoor pilot.

If CBS is happy with fan response and how the new characters work within the world of Fire Country, that episode will springboard into a new show called Sheriff Country.

This is called a backdoor pilot, where the characters from a planned show appear first on the primary show. Main characters for NCIS: Los Angeles appeared in a two-episode arc of NCIS, while Chicago P.D. characters first appeared on Chicago Fire for NBC.

Station 19 (2018)

Kiell Smith-Bynoe in Red Flag (2022)
Station 19 Season 7 Episode 2 Review: Good Grief
Kiell Smith-Bynoe in Red Flag (2022)
An undeniable observation about this series is that it has so much heart.

Various aspects of Station 19 Season 7 Episode 2 reminded us that we're operating with a shortened season, and the writers are working to cram as much into it as possible, which can lead to some pacing issues.

But at its essence, the series and the characters may benefit from this. And the emotional journey the series can take viewers on within an hour remains intact.

Essentially, it speaks to life itself. No matter what's happening around us, life has a funny way of still going on, and time waits for no mortal.

The trick to pulling this off is managing to do so organically, where the development of the character and the respective plot's payoff is enough to wave away how rapidly things are coming into play.

This hour had that on multiple fronts as we moved very quickly with the Marina adoption plot,...

Station 19 Season 7 Episode 1 Review: This Woman's Work
Station 19 (2018)
Jack Gibson will never know peace!

They didn't waste any time delving into the thick of it on Station 19 Season 7 Episode 1, and if it's one thing the premiere did, it reminds us how special this series is and how upsetting it is that we're losing it.

While the fight is still ongoing for many viewers to save the series, until then, it's evident they will take us on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride for this final season.

With Jack's life in peril and his career in the balance, Dixon's death bringing Emmett back into our orbit, and Andy grappling with her first day as chief happening while her best friend was fighting for his life, the hour was intense.

When you consider all that, Theo thriving in his f*ckboy era after canoodling with chaotic Kate in the coat room during Station 19 Season 6 Episode 18 was small potatoes.

And...

‘Station 19’ EPs Break Down Jack’s Future After Season 7 Premiere: ‘There’s a Ticking Clock’
Image
Note: This story contains spoilers from the “Station 19” Season 7 premiere.

The seventh and final season premiere of “Station 19” revealed the fate of beloved firefighter Jack Gibson after he collapsed during the tragic accident at the firefighter’s ball in the previous finale. After performing emergency surgery and saving his life, Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) broke the news to newly-promoted captain Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) that her friend and colleague sustained a life-altering brain injury that will bench him from field work permanently.

The episode, titled “This Woman’s Work,” ended with Jack waking up after surgery and congratulating Andy on her promotion — and asking when he would be back on duty.

New “Station 19” showrunners Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack — taking over after Krista Vernoff’s exit last season — teased that the twist doesn’t mean Jack (Grey Damon) will exit the series, but his journey...

Image
Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from the Station 19 Season 7 premiere.

Station 19 returned tonight, airing the Season 7 premiere titled “This Woman’s Work,” and as everyone knows, this will be the final season of the firefighter drama created by Stacy McKee.

As sad as that is, let’s look at the positives, shall we? There are nine episodes left after the premiere, and there’s a whole journey ahead of us — and it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Speaking of bumpy, Jack (Grey Damon) is in a really bad way as the episode opens with him in surgery. Andie (Jaine Lee Ortiz) — on her first official day as Captain — of course is there with him when Grey Sloane’s Amelia Shepard (Caterina Scorsone) steps out to share an update, and the news is good overall. Amelia revealed that they had to remove a piece of...

8 Station 19 Storylines That Need To Be Resolved Before The Grey's Anatomy Spinoff's Ending
Image
Station 19 season 7 will be the last, with only 10 episodes due to strikes. The season should wrap up all major storylines and provide satisfying answers to questions viewers have been asking. Important storylines to be resolved include Jack's fate, Chief Ross's position, Maya and Carina becoming parents, and Andy's love life.

Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Station 19 will be ending at the end of the upcoming season 7, leaving several storylines that need to be wrapped up ahead of the series finale. Due to the double WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Station 19 season 7 will be just 10 episodes, one of which will be a crossover with Grey’s Anatomy. With an abridged final season, Station 19 likely won’t be able to explore the characters and their stories as much as viewers had hoped. Why Station 19 is ending with season 7 hasn’t been revealed, but hopefully, the early announcement will allow writers to resolve some important major storylines from past seasons.

5 Reasons Theo Failed At Being Station 19’s Captain
Image
Theo Ruiz was made Station 19’s Interim Captain, giving him a chance to do the role again, but he failed. When Captain Sean Beckett took leave to handle his drinking, Natasha Ross had to find an interim captain. She first asked Andy Herrera, but Andy turned it down because she believed she had earned being the permanent captain of Station 19, which she had. Ross couldn’t tap her boyfriend, Robert Sullivan, because of how it would have looked. Sullivan was the person who deserved the position, but Ross gave the role to Theo.

Theo had been captain before but stepped down after his friend, Michael, died on a call. Michael was also Travis Montgomery’s husband. Travis, Michael and Theo were the best of friends, but after that incident, Travis couldn’t get over what happened. At least not until his current best friend, Victoria Hughes, started dating Theo. Theo...

If Jack is hard of head, pun intended, Damon is pure of heart and soul.

It's something that unironically comes to light multiple times throughout our half-hour chat, so we hope you enjoy the read.

Aside from the puns and jokes, we discuss Jack's future, that shocking cliffhanger, Jack's family arcs, his fanboying over costar Danielle Savre's directorial debut,...

Why Station 19's Ross Was Right To Choose [Spoiler] for Captain
Image
The following contains spoilers for Station 19, Season 6, Episode 18, "Glamorous Life," which debuted on May 18th, 2023, on ABC.

Station 19 Season 6 has been rife with tension over the role of Captain. Such storylines have included Beckett's incompetence, Maya vying for her old position back to the point it caused her physical and mental distress, and Theo's turbulent interim captaincy. But as of Season 6, Episode 18, "Glamorous Life," a new Captain has officially been chosen for Station 19.

In Season 6, Episode 16, "Dirty Laundry," Beckett announced he would not seek his captaincy back, leaving the door open for a new Captain to be chosen. Chief Ross asked the lieutenants of Station 19 if any of them would like to put their hats in the ring, and Theo Ruiz, Robert Sullivan and Andy Herrera all stepped forward. After considering her options for an episode, Ross told Andy in the finale that she would be the new Captain of...

Station 19's Jack Gibson Continues To Be Forgotten
Image
The sixth season of Station 19 has been crowded with too many storylines. Its major plot developments have included Maya and Carina's relationship troubles, Travis Montgomery running for mayor and the firehouse's difficulties with both Sean Beckett and Theo Ruiz as captains. The result of all this going on is that the ABC series has forgotten one very important protagonist: Jack Gibson.

While Station 19 has always shifted the spotlight from character to character, it has been too long since Jack was given the attention he deserves. Many fans would consider Jack to be the heart of the station, so his reduced presence has had an impact on the quality of the show. The lack of attention stings even harder considering that when Jack has appeared in Season 6, he's mostly been a shell of his former self.
