August Blanco

August Blanco was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. His father is documentary filmmaker Eddie Rosenstein, his mother Randi Blanco is a pediatric physical therapist. August attended LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, majoring in voice. At LaGuardia, he performed leading roles in their annual All-School musical three years in a row, including playing Captain Georg von Trapp in both casts of THE SOUND OF MUSIC as a senior. He was also a top male baritone in the school's senior choir and heavily involved in the school's annual variety "Rising Stars" shows. In 2019, he was a National YoungArts winner in theater.
August's professional acting career began at age 16, guest starring in USA network's THE PURGE, and performing in the feature film THE LAST FULL MEASURE. He played Victor Borin, a recurring character in Netflix's GRAND ARMY before attending Northwestern University as a theater major. While in college, August performed in numerous shows including LEGALLY BLOND (Warner); MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG (Franklin Shepard) and RED SPEEDO (Coach).
August has since performed the title role in PERICLES, PRINCE OF TYRE at the Prague Shakespeare Company; co-starred alongside Lily Rabe, Ed Harris and Vanessa Hudgens in the feature film, DOWNTOWN OWL, which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival in 2023; and in 2024, August had a "New York actor rite-of-passage", co-starring in the season premiere of LAW AND ORDER, SVU.
August Blanco is also a pop/soul singer and performs in clubs in both New York and LA.
