This morning (14th August) the BBC have announced a brand new and first of its kind, Black, queer dating podcast called Swipe Your Sign. The BBC 1Xtra podcast will see Geordie Shore’s Nathan Henry and his Swipe Your Sign co-host, Ro Frimpong from the Two Two's Podcast, put their love lives into the hands of renowned Astrologist, Celestial Tree. Celestial will pair them with potential partners based on their star sign and astrological chart, and the podcast will launch on BBC Sounds on 19th August to coincide with UK Black Pride 2023.

The Challenge: World Championship fans were left disappointed when UK competitor Nathan Henry left early due to a medical disqualification. Nathan's first appearance on reality TV was in Geordie Shore, the same UK-based spin on Jersey Shore where fellow The Challenge competitor Kyle Christie originated from. Challengers from around the world are taking on the very legends that created the game in the new trailer released Monday for Paramount+’s The Challenge: World Championship.

The series’ two-episode premiere (releasing Wednesday, March 8) will pair MVPs from the USA, U.K., Argentina and Australia installments with Challenge legends from MTV’s past to form some of the most iconic teams in franchise history. Together, the duos will battle it out in hopes of being crowned The Challenge world champion and winning the hefty $500,000 prize. And this game? “It ain’t for the weak,” as Jordan Wiseley explains in the clip embedded above.

MTV Launches BLM Shorts

MTV International is today launching a short-form series to support the Black Lives Matter movement, featuring the likes of Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Pinnock and other names, including Munroe Bergdorf, Ray Blk, Nathan Henry, Duckie Thot, Serious Klein, will explore issues impacting Black youth and speak about their own experiences and what it takes to create positive change. Ten-part MTV Generation Change: Black Lives Matter will roll out on MTV International’s social platforms, as well as Channel 5 and BET International. The series was led by senior producer Amie Parker-Williams, including Samiat Pedro, Tyrell Charles and Shamar Bean. It was also supported by digital content producer Emily Hooley and executive producers Jonathan Pascoe and Tanya Malcolm-Revell.

MTV International has launched “MTV Generation Change: Black Lives Matter,” a 10-part short-form series designed to support the global Black Lives Matter movement.

The series features international artists, reality stars and change makers including Leigh-Anne Pinnock from British girl group Little Mix, model and activist Munroe Bergdorf, singer/songwriter Ray Blk, reality TV star Nathan Henry, model Duckie Thot, rapper Serious Klein and more as they tackle issues affecting Black youth today and speak about their experiences and what it takes to create positive change.

It rolls out on MTV International’s social platforms Aug. 26, and on U.K. broadcaster Channel 5 and BET International platforms shortly after.

MTV has also commissioned additional “Generation Change” short-form episodes to debut in the year, focusing on equality, global health and the environment.

MTV International has ordered a fast-turnaround live and interactive digital gameshow series designed to entertain viewers in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, hosted by reality TV star Charlotte Crosby.

The “MTV Game Night With Charlotte Crosby,” consisting of six 30-minute episodes, will stream live from Crosby’s home on a weekly basis from 8.30 P.M. Thursday across MTV International’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

The series will be remotely produced by ViacomCBS Digital Studios International using cloud-based platforms Grabyo and Zoom.

Each week, Crosby will film herself live from home, conducting quizzes, games and challenges that audiences can play along with at home.

In each episode, Crobsy will also be joined by a number of her celebrity friends from their homes via video link, who will also be competing in the games.
