Joshua Spudeno was born in Reading, Pa Sunday January 4, 1981. He went to High School at Daniel Boone HS and graduated in 99'. He then attended college where he got his Associates in Graphic Design. He quickly used that to get a job at the Pottstown Mercury Newspaper. The job did not pan out and he moved from job to job in search of a career.
During that time he also played Semi Pro Football for the Reading Raptors. It was an out door league and he played on the Kick off team and on Special occasions he played on the Defensive Line. He was never afraid, never complained, and just loved the game and the time he was there. The team even went to the League championships only to lose to a better team. When his season ended another job called him a more physically, and mentally challenging job.
It was a forestry job that is where he made his home for 13 years. During which time he learned how to do it all climb trees like a master, fly a bucket truck with his eyes closed, and he was a whiz at Storm jobs. For the first couple years he honed his skills as a tree climber eventually getting his white hat his foreman ship. Josh worked thru the ranks learning management skills and life skills through out his career. Until the travel, stress, and well as he put it he was getting too good at his job and complacency was kicking in. He done it all climbed 120ft trees, flew 100ft bucket trucks, climbed nears The challenge has left that fire in his eyes died down.
What was next for this jack of all trades? Well did he designed some Hayrides growing up in college and Acted in them as well. He heard the competition in acting is very fierce well for 6 months he worked hard studied looked for classes read books. Everything he could to get him on the screen. The first chance he got he worked on a TV Pilot called Brotherhood of the Shield and it was some ghetto gangster scene. He was having a good time and they said your going to get shot today. So my first time on film I was going to get shot and that's all it took to get him hooked.
He worked several other roles till eventually he landed a role as Detective Robert Rounds for Who Killed Jane Doe Sea. 2, Episode 2. Then he started to move fast through the ranks working on a Jeffery Dahmer series. He landed a commercial bit for BB&T, worked on Creed 2 as an extra and in 2018 landed him in a role as Big Detective in the movie Arisen Revelation. Which in turn helped him work on movies in 2019 such as the Secret Within the Sphere, Love Songs weren't meant to make you cry, and even with Zack Snyder in Army of the Dead all of which will be coming out this in 2020.
So what is next for Mr. Josh Spudeno Screenwriting. Yes he is now in the process of writing several movies. One is an Action Thriller, another is the story of how he met his wife. But what is really starting to peak every bodies interest is his film based in 1945 during the days when the Mafia ran Reading, Pa. He is particularly excited about what is coming up in the future. He has done his homework and is in the process of getting it all put together.
I asked him what keeps you wanting to better yourself he says "Its the belief you can be better then yesterday."; that "Hard work pays off and if you stick to it you will go far." Plus to he wants to leave a legacy for his children and he wants them to know that he want to give them the world.
