Marcus T. Scott(I)

Born and raised in Hartsville, SC, acting out of Charlotte, NC, Marcus T. Scott the oldest of two sons, moved to Charlotte, NC after graduating with a degree in Business Administration - Finance, from Wingate University in 2002. After seeking out local resources for sufficient training, classes, etc., Marcus went active as an actor in 2011. Marcus has been active in the Charlotte film community, enthusiastically participating in, but not limited to, the "Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project" in 2017-2019, with his team's film being selected as one of the "Best Of" by the #2019CLT48 panel of judges for their thought-provoking film "Thank you, Mr. Douglas." Next you will find Marcus playing the role of 'Tyrone St. James' in the highly anticipated film "My Mother's Prayers" - scheduled for global release in early 2023. In post-production, you can also look for the 2022 Queen City Awards "Actor of the Year" Nominee in "From Segregation to Justice", based on a true story. This film will portray the events that led to the landmark court case Briggs v Elliot. This film premiere's in October of 2022 at Clemson University. Marcus was also voted onto the Board of Directors of the Carolina Film Festival in 2021 (Marketing and Community Engagement).
