Applause Entertainment and Sameer Nair have done it again. Season 4 of Criminal Justice, now streaming on Jio Hotstar, is designed as the visual version of a page-turner. The sleep-steep storytelling is simply irresistible.
There are hot springs of ingenuity strewn across the eight episodes so that we never know when and where the investigation will end. And honestly, do we want this to end?
And even if, let’s just say for the sake of saying, the plot was not throbbing with as much scripting vibrancy as it does, there is the delightfully credible Pankaj Tripathi as our resident lawyer, Madhav Mishra.
His instinctive understanding of the compulsions behind the given crime are so grave and gamely it feels like a panic picnic. Fun while it blasts, so to speak
Pankaj’s Madhav Mishra once again holds the show together. He gets terrific support from not only his immediate costars...

When the six-part crime thriller Black, White & Gray: Love Kills was released earlier this month on SonyLIV, it received a fantastic response from critics and the streaming audience. If you have seen the series and enjoyed it (or even haven’t watched it yet), we recommend checking out an underappreciated, dark crime thriller on Ott. We are talking about the 2021 show Tabbar (a Punjabi word which means family). Read on to know more about the series and where you can stream it.
Tabbar – Plot & Cast
The eight-episode family drama thriller revolves around a retired cop, Omkar Singh (played by Pavan Malhotra), who lives with his family in Jalandhar, Punjab. When Omkar’s elder son mistakenly brings home an identical bag, the bag owner tracks him and arrives at his home to take it back.

Streaming platforms like Netflix are often accused of being the dumping ground for movies that were meant for theatrical release but then the distributors and the producers backed out because they thought it wouldn’t be a profitable venture. How can you tell if a made-for-theater movie is being dumped for streaming? Well, made-for-theater movies start with the animated production logo video and a short or long list of people that the makers want to thank; straight-to-streaming films don’t have that. Anyway, I believe that every movie should be released in theaters because you never know whether or not it’ll find an audience and rake in an unexpected amount of money. I also believe that films should get a theatrical release, even if it’s a limited one, because every filmmaker wants their film to be projected on the biggest possible screen instead of being used as background noise.
