He served as Associate Producer for the 1997 Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon in New York and also collaborated with Executive Producer Jamie Richards on the 1996 and 1998 Marathons. Additionally, he produced several benefit events at EST honoring Jerry Zaks, Ted Turner, and Walter Bobbie, featuring performances and appearances by Richard Dreyfuss, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Lucie Arnaz, Chris Noth, Anne Meara, Mandy Patinkin, and playwrights Wendy Wasserstein, Horton Foote, Frank Gilroy, Craig Lucas, and Joyce Carol Oates, to name a few. On Broadway, John served as Associate to the General Manager, Brent Peek, on Jackie - An American Life. Off-Broadway, he was one of the producers of Hedwig & The Angry Inch and also contributed to the development of The Great American Trailer Park Musical. In 2005, he wrote, directed, and produced the opening festivities for the "Center of Hope" in South Africa, hosted by His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, the Mayor of Durban, the Minister of Health, and attended by over 1,000 guests. The center serves individuals infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS in the township of Bhekulwandle. As an actor, John developed the role of William Booth in the original musical Blood & Fire (alongside Eden Espinosa) for the Disney/ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in New York City (Stephen Schwartz). Other notable roles include Sheriff Deon Gilbeau in August: Osage County at the State Theatre in Olympia, WA; King Herod in Who Do You Say I Am at CCC in Los Alamitos, CA (Director); Jo Bouillon in Billy Wilson's Josephine: The Musical in Amsterdam, Holland (Assistant Director); Bruno in Christmas on Mars in Hollywood, CA; Tumnus in The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe in San Francisco, CA; Fleance in Macbeth with the Sherwood Shakespeare Festival (directed by David Hammond); and the one-man musical Zacchaeus, performed at the National Theatre of Uganda. His television credits include Better Call Saul (AMC), The Resident (FOX), Grimm (NBC), Homicide Hunter (Investigation Discovery), along with numerous commercials and industrials. He also works as a voice-over artist and narrator. As a writer, John is currently developing a limited television series he hopes to bring to life in the near future. He is the founder and operator of TAPE IT ABQ, a virtual studio for actors, where he also serves as a teacher and coach, working with actors from around the world. He is currently based in Mumbai, India, where he is pursuing new opportunities as an actor.
