Formula 1 Drama Series ‘One’ Starring Felicity Jones Being Developed by Amazon MGM Studios (Exclusive)
Image
Engines are being warmed up on “One,” the drama series set in the world of Formula One racing that Felicity Jones is attached to both star in and executive produce.

Variety understands that the series is in development with Amazon MGM Studios for Prime Video, although it has not been officially ordered yet.

“One” — which marks Formula 1’s first officially sanctioned scripted series — will focus on a failing family-owned racing team, led by Jones’ character, as it contends with fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals and multi-million-dollar stakes.

The series is produced by Bedrock Entertainment, launched in 2020 as a joint venture between “Band of Brothers” producer Tony To, “True Detective” executive producer Dan Sackheim and ITV Studios America. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby — who were Oscar nominated for “Children of Men” — will write and executive produce.

To will executive produce “One” for Bedrock, alongside Sackheim and ITV Studios America’s president and managing director Philippe Maigret.

Hardlore's Colin Young on Why He Wore a Suit to see The Boy and the Heron
Image
You’ve probably heard something Colin Young has worked on before. Whether it be in one of his bands or interviewing one of your favorite musicians on the Hardlore Podcast (which he co-hosts with Harms Way’s Bo Lueders), Young is a man whose enthusiasm for music is matched only by his spinkick prowess. But where does all of that energy come from? I spoke with Young to learn how part of it comes from bonding with others over Dragon Ball in school, mixing Dragon Ball Z: Budokai with Pantera, and his deep appreciation for the medium of animation. I feel like half, if not three-fourths, of our audience is looking up anime edits on Tiktok. Are you a part of that group? Colin Young : Dude, if I wake up before 6am and I can't go back to sleep, I'm on Tiktok watching Dragon Ball Z compilations. I'm watching Future Trunks music video edits,...

Undeath's Alexander Jones on Anime and Metal Serenity
Image
Undeath is a band that does not seem cute and cuddly on the outside. Their extreme death metal sound would be something very much at home on the shonen battlefield. It may surprise you then, to learn that lead singer Alexander Jones tends to gravitate away from dark shonen series and actually loves silly rom-coms. He is probably the biggest Toradora! fan around. I was able to catch up with Jones between tours and before the band heads into the studio to record their next album to chat all about it! Read our discussion below to learn more about how he finds serenity in anime and metal, pushing boundaries, and his love of wistful openings and endings. Being on the road so much recently, you've had some time to watch a lot, but I'd love to go all the way back to the beginning and talk about how you really got started with anime.

One: Felicity Jones to star in and produce a scripted Formula 1 family drama series
Image
Rogue One and The Theory of Everything actress Felicity Jones is getting behind the wheel for One, a Formula 1 family drama series from Bedrock Entertainment, Mark Fergus, and Hawk Ostby. The project is a first for the Formula 1 organization, which has never hit the track for a scripted series. Jones will star in and produce, with Fergus and Ostby writing the script.

According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, One focuses on “the tumultuous ascension of a fictitious family-owned Formula 1 team as it contends with fierce personalities, ever-changing rivals, and multi-million-dollar stakes. It will blend fiction with the real-world of F1, which has 23 races scheduled for the 2023 season.”

Writing for the series is delayed because of the writers’ strike. However, once the details of the ongoing battle for representation, fair pay, and better work conditions, among other things, are concluded, Fergus and Ostby will put the pedal to the metal on scripting the series.

Musk reinstates some celebrity accounts on Twitter, says 'no decision' on Trump
Image
San Francisco, Nov 19 (Ians) Elon Musk has said there is still “no decision” on reinstating former US president Donald Trump’s account on Twitter, as he reinstated some controversial accounts banned earlier.

The new Twitter CEO reinstated the accounts belonging to Kathy Griffin, Jordan Peterson and the conservative satire site The Babylon Bee.

“Kathie Griffin, Jordan Peterson & Babylon Bee have been reinstated. Trump’s decision has not yet been made,” Musk posted.

Griffin was permanently suspended earlier this month for changing her account name to “Elon Musk”, and making fun of the Tesla CEO.

The accounts of Peterson and The Babylon Bee were suspended earlier this year for violating the company’s hateful conduct policies.

When a user asked him to bring back Alexander Jones, an American far-right radio show host and prominent conspiracy theorist, Musk said ‘No’.

Musk said that the new Twitter policy is ‘freedom of speech, but...
