Queenie(X)

IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Lynn "Queenie" Koenigsaecker was born in Louisiana and was a baby groupie on the Sunset Strip in the 1970s.

Her family moved to Los Angeles, CA sometime before 1972. Apparently she still had a rather noticeable southern drawl during her groupie days. In an old 1973 Star interview, 15-year-old Queenie named Mick Ronson, Alice Cooper, David Bowie and Marc Bolan as a few of her rock-star conquests.

Queenie was also photographed partying with Slade, Barnstorm, Michael des Barres and Rick Wakeman back in the day. In general, it's hard to tell exactly how many musicians she's been connected with since Queenie was rarely interviewed and most of her old photos are with her fellow groupie pals. Some sites list Jimmy Page as one of her hook-ups, but the only time they were ever photographed together was at the same party where Jimmy infamously dumped Pamela des Barres for Lori. Jimmy and Queenie did however produce for us these iconic photos.

She's even referenced by association in Led Zeppelin's song 'Sick Again,' which is about the Star girls. There's also vintage '73 backstage footage of New York Doll Jerry Nolan statutory groping Queenie featured in the 2005 documentary All Dolled Up. And archival photos and footage of her are included in the documentary Mayor of the Sunset Strip (2003). Other than that, there's not much left to find on Queenie and it looks like she might have disappeared from the face of the earth after the '70s ended.
