Biography

Brooklyn-born and Atlanta-raised, Alaya Lee Walton has a career spanning more than fifteen years. Starting out as a child model, Alaya found her love for the stage when she featured as The Caterpillar in the Alliance Theatre children's production of Alice in Wonderland when she was seven years old. Her stage credits include starring as Connie in the Hollywood world premiere production of Tangerine Sunset, starring as Silvy in the New York world premiere production of GEN, and starring as Shelly in Alicia Haymer's Nashville world premiere production of Heavy, for which she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Performer at the 35th Annual First Night Awards. She has also starred as Nina in the North Hollywood production of Women and Wallace. As her career as a model and on the stage began flourishing, she began to develop a new love for the screen.

She began her career on screen with credits in several student and independent films, including Pull Back The Hammer, Life of the Party, The Secret Lives of Teachers, My Daughter is 14, Mary Mary Quite Contrary, Raising Buchanan, and Happy Hazel.

She has worked alongside Vivica A. Fox on the Lifetime Movie Network films, The Wrong Stepfather and The Wrong Real Estate, where she starred as Fox's daughter. She was offered in Fox's directorial debut, BET Her Presents: The Couch, as the lead role, starring alongside, Nicki Micheaux and Kellith Smith.

Further credits include guest starring in an episode of TV One's true crime drama series, Fatal Attraction. She was also casted by Walt Disney Imagineering and Marvel Studios to play the comic book character, Onome, from the Black Panther universe for Web Slingers at Avengers Campus at Disney California Avengers and Walt Disney Studios Park in Marne-la-Vallée, Île-de-France, France.

When Alaya is not acting, she enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out with her pet bearded dragon, Bubba, the family Yorkie, Rocky, reading romance, and writing. In addition to being an actress, she is also a novelist under the pen name, Ally Lee, publishing contemporary romance, thriller, and science fiction. She currently has three romance novels published and is working on a psychological thriller.
