It had been a dream of mine since I was little, and watching Disney Channel every day made me wish I could be there myself. But I never thought it could be a reality for me and that it could be something I could do for real. Sometimes I still can't believe that it is!

I feel like the biggest similarity between me and Kitty is probably how close she is with her sister and family. I am really close with my older sister. Kitty with Lara Jean is kind of how I interact with my sister, like having movie marathons at home and hanging out with them on the weekend.

I grew up in Vancouver where there's a lot of biracial people and there was a lot of kids my age who were half-Asian and who had similar ancestry to me. I was really lucky that I felt like I could celebrate my background and that being mixed was a really positive great thing, that I got the chance to be part of two beautiful cultures and get to know different traditions and different parts of myself.
