Walter Lutsch

Walter Lutsch was born in Oakland, California. His interest in voice acting stemmed from his childhood; namely listening to his mother's tapes of old "The Shadow" broadcasts, and idolizing the work of Kevin Conroy as Batman in "Batman the Animated Series". However, it was until he was in college that he began to dip his toes into acting, first recording small lines for independent video games and flash animations before auditioning for small roles in Seattle film productions. He first appears in a small role in "100% Off: A Recession Era Romance", an independent film by director Shaun Scott filmed in and around Seattle.

Walter then worked with his best friend David Matsui to helm a live, hour long radio show at Seattle Pacific University. While their show only lasted for a total of six months, the experience laid the groundwork for Viking Radio Theatre. This student produced radio drama program was founded at Western Washington University by Walter and a core group of radio theatre enthusiasts. For four seasons, Walter served as Production Director, casting and directing each hour long episode; as well as being cast in various roles throughout his time at Western Washington University. During his tenure as Production Director, Viking Radio Theatre would go on to broadcast over two local radio stations, feature all of its archived shows on YouTube as well as host three years of a live event: The 1940's Mystery Dinner Night.

After appointing his successor and stepping down as Production Director of Viking Radio Theatre, Walter went in search of voice acting work online once more and since 2017 has worked as a talent of Voices.com, providing recorded material for commercials, games, audio books and more.
