Jarrett Michael Collins was born in Dayton, Ohio. A Writer, Actor, and filmmaker, whose work is grounded in emotional truth, cultural authenticity, and a deep love for storytelling. Jarrett has built a career defined by versatility, persistence, and purpose.
Jarrett's passion for character work and performance led him to move to Atlanta, Georgia, and pursue acting classes. He honed his craft in short films and indie projects that gave him space to experiment and discover the full range of his artistry. Whether portraying a conflicted son, a streetwise romantic, or a determined activist, Jarrett brings an emotional honesty that resonates beyond the screen.
His breakthrough performances include Damien "Dizz" Cooper in the emotionally raw Tainted Waters, Grady in the BET Plus holiday film Christmas Ringer, and Joc in the fan-favorite TV series Johnson. He's also made waves as a writer and creator. Co-creating an acting class named "The BookingRoom Atl", a place where actors sharpen their skills amongst all different levels and experiences of actors, created an organic and memorable experience for many, that continues to serve the Atlanta acting community to this day. Coaching has made an impact on Jarrett, fulfilling a mission that's been instrumental in giving back to the community.
