Mami Sue has been turning heads as a performer since a young age. She started piano at 3 years old, was versed in classical ballet and Solfege by the age of 5 and had composed her first song at the age of 7. Her first major performance was at the age of 10 performing on stage at the Okayama Symphony Hall in Japan. In her teenage years, Mami became active in the dancehall music scene, and started performing in and around the Osaka area.

Moving to New York in 2005, she went to Ballet Arts Center for Dance NYC, to further her study of dance, singing and performance, and worked as a background dancer for New York performance artists appearing in music videos, TV shows and live shows. Mami returned to Japan in 2010, and began her acting career in 2013, when she was recruited by the talent agency, Main Cast, who provided her with acting classes. Through Main Cast she appeared in the theatre show, "Atami Murder Case", and was immediately scouted by another director who had seen the show, leading to her being cast as the main actress in the show "Trans" in 2014. She went on to play the lead role in Andy Utech's "The Lady Aoi" (Yukio Mishima's Modern Noh Play) the same year.

During this time, Mami further pursued her own study of the Meisner method with NAP Tokyo Acting coach, Erick Ferman, and then the Chubbuck Technique at Chubbuck Japan.

In addition to appearing on television shows like "Sanbiki No Ossan" (TV Tokyo), and doing corporate promotion work for major Japanese brands like Softbank, Mami was also the main actress in the award winning films, "Make my Mark" (Best feature film, Japan Indies Film Festival 2020), "Sumire" (Best Film Noir at Indie Short Fest, USA) and "Coffee for Two" (Special Mention, Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, India) just to name a few.

Considering herself a lifelong student, in 2022, Mami began studying action, fight choreography and stunt work through Quiet Flame Production's International Action Actor's Training Program.
