Ryan G. Hinds

Ryan is one of a handful of performers to appear both in the film adaptation and in a stage production of Hedwig & the Angry Inch.

He has shared stages and screens with a number of celebrities, including Liza Minnelli, Debbie Reynolds, Lady Bunny, Todrick Hall, Billy Stritch, Sky Gilbert, Rt. Hon. Michaelle Jean, Lance Bass, Vivek Shraya, Ultra Nate, Carla Collins, and more.

He identifies as queer and came out in 1993.

He was born and raised in Mississauga, and has lived in Toronto and New York City.

All of the performing arts are basically story-telling, and for me there's something very primal about gathering together and sharing something. It can be illuminating or sad or funny, but when it's done well, it's an affirmation of life for both performer and audience. That's what I'm always interested in exploring.....bringing out a reaction or emotion.
