The friends and family gathered are heartfelt, polite and emotional in this most clinical and anodyne of places. “Nothing here reminds me of my sister,” remarks one.

Waves of grief hit people at different times; Adela’s strikes as she sits in her car to leave. It’s in these opening moments that the fantastical strikes.

Italian influencer Chiara Ferragni is speaking out after being hit with an approximately $1 million fine amid allegations that she misled her followers over a charitable donation.

The Italian Competition Authority conducted an investigation of a 2022 partnership with Balocco, an Italian pastry brand. The collaboration resulted in a branded cake bearing her image, which was supposed to raise proceeds for Regina Margherita Hospital.

The cakes were sold at a higher price than the brand’s similar products; however, most of the proceeds do not appear to have made it to the hospital.

The investigation concluded that the higher price was “misleading” as it implied that the difference would be donated to charity, via Business Insider.

[O] is an animated made by filmmakers Mario Radev and Chiara Sgatti - both based in London. It debuted in 2017 at Raindance and other fests, played in 2018 at the Sundance and Annecy Film Festivals, with many other stops. Originally an animation school graduation film for both Mario and Chiara. "This film imitates the functioning of nature. Life cycles are represented in a world entirely based on sound frequency and vibration." Perhaps a few of you already caught this at a festival, if not, you are in for a treat. I'd put this high on a list of "I've never seen anything like it" visuals. The 6-minute short is a 2D animated film with some of the kookiest, freaky creatures & characters - reminds me of other horror shorts Something in the Garden and Playground.
