Biography

Richard entered the workforce at age 12 washing and waxing cars, mowing lawns and selling greeting cards door-to-door. During high school he worked as dock hand at a marina, a clam-digger and ran the counter at a busy restaurant and soda shop. During his college years (he holds a degree in Political Economy), he owned and operated a surfboard shop and was privileged to work as an international management trainee with Pan American World Airways based in San Jose, Costa Rica and Caracas, Venezuela. Richard began flying at age 7 and earned his pilot's license while in high school. Upon graduation from college, he entered the U. S. Navy's Aviation Officer Candidate School (flight school) at Pensacola, Florida. He served for 15 years of active and reserve duty with fighter and attack squadrons both deployed on aircraft carriers and at shore installations within the United Sates.

Upon being released from active duty, Richard began his civilian career in sales and rapidly grew to positions of increasing responsibility - sales manager, director of sales, vice president sales and marketing, chief operating officer, chief executive officer and chairman. His uniquely diverse experience includes small, medium and large companies with virtually all forms of ownership structure - venture capital/private equity, publicly traded and family/closely held businesses in the technology and services industries as well as the arts. Richard partnered with venture capital to build his own successful regional company in the electronic security industry and was the owner and chairman of one of the country's leading human capital management companies for ten years until its sale in 2017. He has completed more than one hundred acquisitions over the course of his career.

Richard is an accomplished SAG-AFTRA actor, stunt driver and producer. He has appeared most recently in such TV shows and films as Outer Range, Roswell New Mexico, Robots, Maggie Moore(s) and others. His unique character look and physical fitness make him ideal to represent characters from clergy to business executive, attorney, physician, criminal mastermind and more, whether they be historical or present day. In addition to his acting chops, Richard is a national champion Formula 2000 race car driver, a stunt driver and stunt driving instructor to the film and television industry as well as an award-winning producer.

Richard's career and life experience combine to make him the ultimate multi-hyphenate. The unique depth and breadth of his experience, along with him being hard working, always prepared and easy to work with has made a Richard highly respected and sought-after asset in the film and television industry.
