Mahul has also directed a much-acclaimed short film PostIt! (2018). He has acted in a lead role in Bengali Horror Anthology, a feature film named "Hoyto Manush Noy", which was released in 2018. He has earlier acted in a lead role in a short film Elixir (2016) which was selected for Cannes Short Film Corner. Mahul is the author of Decoding Luxe, a luxury columnist and an award winning communicator heading communications for a Tata group company. He is a former senior editor and has written extensively on luxury and entrepreneurship for leading newspapers like Economic Times, India partner of New York Times, CNBc TV 18 and Reuters. He is an alumni of MICA, University of Cambridge, St Xavier's College. Mahul is an avid golfer.
