Sumer Abdelnasser is an Egyptian screenwriter and producer with a journalism background. She is known for her work as a screenwriter on several TV series including Newton's Cradle, Every Week Has a Friday, and This Evening. Sumer founded Shoghl Cairo Pictures, an independent film production company, and co-produced the documentary Samar... Before The Final Picture.
She served as a member of the selection committee for the Cinema of Tomorrow competition at the Cairo International Film Festival for three years. Sumer graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University in 2011 and the High Cinema Institute in 2016.
