Biography

August Rae Smithson 'August Rae', is a Non-Union Atlanta based actor and model. He has trained with seasoned SAG-AFTRA actress Cecelia Specht on Scene Study, Script Analysis, and Body and Voice. He has studied at The Company Acting Studio with a focus on training in acting, auditioning for film, television, film, and acting on camera. While pursuing a B.S in Psychology, he took advanced acting, scene study and characterization with Dr. Hugh Long.

Away from the camera, August continues his creative process. He enjoys reading books about acting by esteemed authors such as: Uta Hagen, Jane Drake Brody, Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler, and Stanislavski. His favorite acting book is Uta Hagen's "Respect for Acting." He trains in Muay Thai and is active in community service with over 4,500 hours with organizations such as: The Boys and Girls Club of America and Habitat for Humanity. August is also a 3rd degree Freemason.
