J (Guy J Spencer III) is a life long resident of Huntsville, AL. At 13, he started working to pay for a drum set and hasn't stopped working. At sixteen he joined a student program with the Huntsville Police & volunteered with the local Rescue Squad, performing Vehicle Extrication, first aid, searches & River Dragging. He earned an EMT license in high school & volunteered on the city ambulance service while studying Law Enforcement at Jacksonville State University. J became a Police Officer serving as a Field Training Officer & SCUBA Diver before joining his family business. In the 1980s his Mother served on the Alabama film commission. J was inspired but didn't anticipate a future in film. He later earned a private pilot's license & also started a part time photography business. in 2017, J invested in a Vegas based film & "The rest is history." J is very hands on, participating in productions, attended crew training, helping on many short & feature films. In 2024, J opened "Studio Huntsville," a sound stage with standing sets. For decades, most filming in Huntsville involves the U.S. Space & Rocket Center / Space Camp but productions leave town, for a sound stage. J hopes to increase the frequency & length of filming in Huntsville through Studio Huntsville. J has acted in a variety of small roles, his first as a photographer, in a scene with Tara Reid and Devanny Pinn, in Bus Party to Hell. He often plays police officer roles, adding realism through his law enforcement experience. In 2020, he produced his first personal feature film, a thriller "Alabama Rose," released March of 2023.
