Biography

Oscar Armando Siliezar is an American filmmaker, actor, writer, producer, director, businessman, and entrepreneur. in 2016, Oscar's life changed in the emergency room of a hospital in Southern California after a car accident. After the emergency room doctor told him he was lucky to be alive, Oscar decided to do what he really wanted to with this life and become a filmmaker.

Oscar has worked on several short films and web series that have been screened at film festivals such as the HollyShorts Monthly Film Screenings. His love for writing developed early in his childhood and was encouraged by his teachers in school.

He tells a story of how his life changed after his mother took him to a theater in Costa Mesa, CA to watch James Cameron's "Titanic". The film ended up becoming one of Oscar's all-time favorite films and early influences. Throughout his childhood, his mother continued to take him with her to the local cinema to watch films. In 2015, Oscar earned a Business Administration, Marketing Concentration, BA from California State University Fullerton and found out upon graduating that James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar) and Kevin Costner (Dances With Wolves; The Bodyguard) had once attended the same school. Some of Oscar's early creative influences were artists such as Jim Carey, Robin Williams, Dave Chappelle, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Nicolas Cage, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathryn Bigelow, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron, Ed Wood, Quentin Tarantino, Lawrence Bender, and Alfred Hitchcock.
