Félix-Antoine Bénard
- Actor
Félix-Antoine Bénard grew up in Saint-Jérôme (in province of Québec, Canada) and was introduced to the performing arts at the Théâtre Royal. An actor from the age of 6, he started out as an extra, then auditioned for a number of secondary roles. From 2019 onwards, he played several leading roles on TV, notably in youth series such as "L'effet secondaire", 'Jenny', "Comme des têtes pas de poules" (a series in which he has had a recurring role since season 1), "Audrey est revenue", and in the 2nd season of "Doute raisonnable". In 2024, he played the lead role of Paul in Ariane Louis-Seize's film "Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant", earning him a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Performance in a Leading Role - Comedy, and nominations at the Gala Québec Cinéma 2024 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Revelation of the Year. He also played a leading role in the web series "T-Rex" and "M'infiltrer dans ta vie". Parallel to his acting career, in his teens, his passion for the craft and his cinephilia gave rise to a desire to write and direct films. In 2021, he received his first distinction as writer-director with "Un film pour nous garder en vie". It was the first Quebec film to win an award in the French "Tu vas faire un film" competition. In 2023, he co-founded B.B. Productions and assembled a team of dedicated professionals to bring the film "Je t'aime, je crois".
