The Forsytes is making history for PBS Masterpiece. The drama series, which is the third adaptation of The Forsyte Saga book series by John Galsworthy, is a rare British production to be green-lit by an American network, PBS. Typically with PBS programming, it’s British shows that get picked up by the network for U.S. distribution. Clearly, there’s something special about this upcoming period drama, as PBS has officially renewed it for a second season before Season 1 even debuts. The network announced on Thursday, June 12 that Outlander‘s Richard Rankin will be in the Season 2 cast, among others, and that Season 2 is already filming. The Forsytes cast is already star-studded. It includes Francesca Annis, Millie Gibson, Jack Davenport, Stephen Moyer, Josette Simon, Tom Durant-Pritchard, Eleanor Tomlinson, Susan Hampshire OBE — a returning star from the 1960s BBC adaptation — and more. The Forsytes cast was announced in April 2024. PBS said...

Varada Sethu has had an incredible ride on Doctor Who. She appeared in the Season 1 episode "Boom" as Mundy Flynn, and showrunner Russell T. Davies liked her so much that he decided to bring Sethu back as new companion Belinda Chandra. However, audiences had no idea that Belinda's run would be short-lived.
Sethu appeared as Belinda in just one full season before being written out in the Season 2 finale "The Reality War." Ncuti Gatwa has also left the show, Billie Piper is seemingly the new Doctor, and the series's future is up in the air. But Sethu has no regrets; she was full of praise for the show in a new Instagram post.

Having needed “a few days to process this show, this finale and everything and everyone it has brought into my life,” Varada Sethu now has shared her thoughts on exiting Doctor Who after a one-season run as Fifteen’s companion. (Prior to her debut as ER nurse Belinda Chandra, Sethu appeared in Season 14’s “Boom” as Belinda’s descendant, Anglican marine Mundy Flynn.)
“I’m sooo late to the party (as always), but needed to take a few days to process this show, this finale and everything & everyone it has brought into my life, what it all means,” Sethu shared on Instagram Wednesday.

The Doctor Who rumors were true. Ncuti Gatwa's tenancy as the Doctor was only destined to last two seasons. In the feature-length season finale, the Doctor regenerated, and into returning actress Billie Piper no less - and now Gatwa has taken to social media to talk about it.
Gatwa posted on his Instagram account and tagged all the major Doctor Who-related accounts as well as showrunner Russell T Davies. "Monsters, goblins, gods, human-eating Slugs, invisible brain altering creatures, evil barbers, conspiracy theorists… you’ve had quite a busy two years. Well done and rest up son," he posted, shouting out episodes including Dot and Bubble and The Story and the Engine.

In the wake of the Doctor Who season finale that revealed the end of his time aboard the Tardis, Ncuti Gatwa has been busy paying tribute to those he worked with over two seasons of the Disney+/BBC Studios series.
In a series of Instagram Story posts, Gatwa celebrated Millie Gibson (who played Ruby Sunday) and Varada Sethu (Belinda Chandra) as the “queens of the sky”; deemed it a “joy and Honour” to work with the “legendary Jodie Whittaker” (who in the finale appeared as Thirteen to his Fifteen); hailed a “truly special” crew that made things “look like magic...

1,119 days ago, the BBC announced that Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa as Doctor Who's newest Time Lord incumbent. Tonight, after two seasons, two Christmas specials, and a mind-blowing introduction in which he was quite literally pulled into the Whoniverse from the body of fan-favourite Doctor David Tennant, Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor bowed out in Doctor Who Season 2 finale 'The Reality War'. In a shocking capstone to a shocking episode, the closing moments of the finale — in which we'd already seen the Doctor fend off two Ranis, defeat ancient Time Lord Omega, and flex his sartorial muscle one more time in a gorgeous pinstripe combo — saw Fifteen dramatically regenerate, seemingly into none other than former Who companion Billie Piper. But amid the chaos and confusion of the finale and all that it may means for the show's future,...

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the latest episode of Doctor Who
When David Tennant surprisingly appeared as the 14th Doctor in Doctor Who, it was well-publicized ahead of his return. Although it flipped the rules of the series, it seems that Russell T. Davies had an even bigger shock for fans in the season finale of Ncuti Gatwa's second season as the 15th Doctor - with an unannounced regeneration.
As if that was not enough, the face that Gatwa's Doctor transformed into is one that is just as familiar to Who fans as David Tennant - that of former companion Billie Piper. Piper played Rose Tyler in the show's reboot with Christopher Eccleston, and stayed with the series through a large part of David Tennant's original run, as well as making a few subsequent appearances. Now, it looks like she is the Doctor, and fans have no idea what to make of it.

Ncuti Gatwa is exiting the Tardis.
In the climax of Saturday’s Finale of “Doctor Who” Series 15, Gatwa’s Doctor regenerates into Billie Piper, who previously played companion Rose Tyler in Series 1 (2005) and Series 2 (2006). She also made a brief appearance as Rose Tyler in Series 4 (2008) and was in the “Doctor Who” 50th anniversary special in 2013.
At the end of the episode (per BBC), a credit reads, “Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor. Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor. And introducing Billie Piper.”
Although it appears as such, it is not technically confirmed that Piper will be the next Doctor. In a statement shared with the BBC, Piper said fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out what her return means for the series.

And so it comes to an end (for now). Here’s our spoiler-filled review of Doctor Who season 2 finale, The Reality War…
This review contains spoilers. Our review of the last episode is here…
“Mr Smith, what on Earth do you think you’re wearing?”
In lieu of the BBC providing any kind of previews to the Doctor Who season 2 finale, I – like every reviewer of The Reality War – am left trying to work out just what I’ve watched, and formulate that into some kind of response to it. This, thus, may not be my best work, but for me, the episode didn’t come anywhere close to Doctor Who’s best work either. My initial response is that where this season of the show is concerned, Russell T Davies and his team have saved the worst for last. All the more gutting, as this season run has been really strong.

David Tennant will forever be many people's favorite titular Time Lord in Doctor Who. The sandshoe-wearing, universe-flying incarnation of the classic sci-fi hero is one that touched the most hearts and spanned the greatest emotional spectrum, from his doting romance with Billie Piper's Rose Tyler to the danger of the "Time Lord Victorious." Over 4 years and 47 episodes, without even considering his two reprisals of the character in 2013 and 2023, Tennant got to almost do it all as the captain of the Tardis... almost.
During Tennant's interview on the main stage at McM Comic Con at Excel London, a member of the audience asked the Scottish star which era in time he wished he'd been able to visit and didn't have the chance to. "Well, we got to go to Shakespeare’s Globe which was very exciting, I always wanted to do that," Tennant replied, referring to the 2007 episode "The Shakespeare Code.

The penultimate Doctor Who Season 15 episode aired, featuring a reunion between Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) and The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa), but the Time Lord couldn't recognize his beloved former companion. Throughout the episode, Ruby is among the few who think something is wrong, and there might be a legitimate reason.
In a recent interview, Gibson shares that the events in the episode "73 Yards" may be why Ruby could tell something was off in the Wish World. In the episode, this former companion said, "I've seen 2025, and it was different," as well as seeing glimpses of her future that were featured in the episode. While her memory of those events was wiped, it doesn't mean her feelings and experiences were completely gone. So, when she experiences the Wish World, Gibson explains that Ruby has a "mirrored version of reality" that only she can experience, hence why no one is listening to her,...

Before Ncuti Gatwa became the Doctor, he starred as Ken in 2023's summer blockbuster, Barbie. Now, Gatwa returns to the Barbie universe again, thanks to an upcoming Doctor Who collaboration. The Fifteenth Doctor and his companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson), will be transformed into Barbie dolls in an upcoming collection.
Gatwa saw his character in doll form in the latest TikTok video. The actor is surprised at the amount of detail the doll has and calls himself "the Barbie Doctor." This strange fever dream soon turns out to be precisely that -- a wish dreamed up by the chillingly monstrous podcaster Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King) and brought into existence by the infant God of Wishes, Desidirium. Somehow, though, even the combination of a particularly dangerous member of the Pantheon of Discord and the devious villain from "Lucky Day" isn't enough for the show's antagonist game. "Doctor Who" isn't just a television show: It's a cultural institution, one with so many moving pieces it needs its own beginner's guide. The long-running science-fiction program has been on the air since the early 1960s, and although it's gone through various permutations since then, the central premise has always been the same: The Doctor, played by different actors as a result of his species' ability to regenerate, travels throughout time and space in the Tardis, often with companions who help him through various adventures and battles with all sorts of foes.
There are excellent "Doctor Who" episodes dating all the way back to the beginning of the show, but for the purposes of this article, we're just going to focus on the rebooted series as it began in 2005. Wish World! It’s the best Rani episode of all time. Here’s our spoiler-filled review of Doctor Who season 2’s penultimate episode.
This review contains spoilers. Our review of last week’s episode is here.
They don’t require poster quotes for episodes of Doctor Who, but if they did, I’m going to start with one: Wish World is the best Rani episode in the history of the series. In terms of what’s required to get over that bar, it’s less a leap and more a slight lifting of the leg. But still: I stand by my words.
In fact, there’s much to like in Wish World, in what increasingly looks like the penultimate episode of Doctor Who for the forseeable future. It arrives on screens at a point where speculation has ignited again about Doctor Who beyond next week, and yet while all the noise is going on,...

As the first chapter of Doctor Who's season 15 finale draws closer, returning companion actor Millie Gibson addresses a rising fan theory that ties her character to Archie Panjabi's rogue Time Lady the Rani. After Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor and latest companion Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) bring their extended journey back home to Earth to a close, "Wish World" will see them arrive on a vastly altered world due to the Rani's interference. With the Earth and seemingly the Tardis team under her influence, the season finale will see Ruby return, alongside several Unit members.
With Ruby set to face the Rani in Doctor Who's two-part season finale, Gibson addressed a certain theory that has gained traction among the fandom while speaking with RadioTimes that suggests the rogue Time Lady may have had some part in her origin, due to previews showing the Rani donning a familiar cloak.

Doctor Whofans have had a truly wild time of it recently. In the most recent episode, "The Interstellar Song Contest" not one but two incredible things happened. First, Susan (Carole Ann Ford) returned - and then the Rani did.
Mrs. Flood (Anita Dobson) revealed her true identity in the episode and then bigenerated, so there are now two of her. One is Mrs. Flood, and one is a new version of the character played by Archie Panjabi. Having the Rani back on the show was huge, as fans had been campaigning for her for a very long time. And in the next episode, "Wish World," she's set to team up with Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King), a thoroughly unpleasant man who betrayed Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) and made Unit the subject of conspiracy theorists. But the Rani and Conrad are set to be joined by another villain!

The timey-wimey twists and turns in Doctor Who Season 2 just keep on coming, with the latest episode, "The Interstellar Song Contest," providing perhaps the biggest in the entirety of Russell T. Davies' second full season at the show's helm. Not only did fans finally get a glimpse at the long-awaited return of The Doctor's first-ever companion, his granddaughter Susan (Carole Ann Ford), but the closing moments of "The Interstellar Song Contest" shook the very foundations of the Whoniverse as the identity of Anita Dobson's Mrs. Flood was finally revealed.

There's no doubt that Doctor Who's revival golden era is widely considered to be the run of the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant, between Christmas 2005 and New Year's Day 2010. With the show hit by dropping ratings and a disparity in quality compared to years prior, Chris Chibnall's time in charge whimpered to an end, with the BBC looking to former showrunner Russell T. Davies to return and steady the ship. In doing so, Davies called upon his trusted wildcard in Tennant to return as a newer incarnation of The Doctor, which resulted in three 60th anniversary specials and the eventual arrival of the current incarnation of the titular Time Lord, Ncuti Gatwa.
At the end of his three special episodes, Tennant's Doctor was seen settling into a human-adjacent life with Catherine Tate's Donna Noble and her family, confirming that both Doctor's were active at the same time and...

Doctor WhoSeason 2 (also known as Season 15) premiered on April 12, with new episodes of the BBC and Disney+ series dropping weekly, continuing Ncuti Gatwa's tenure as the titular Time Lord alongside his new companion Varada Sethu's Belinda Chandra. However, the second season of the current era has continued to draw criticism from some viewers for being "woke." A few people have called out the show's casting decisions, while others have taken umbrage with storylines, but Millie Gibson has a message for the naysayers: "Get over it."
During a recent interview with UK publication The Standard, Gibson, who plays Ruby Sunday in Doctor Who, addressed the "woke" criticisms made about the current run of the series, led by showrunner Russell T. Davies, and urged people to remember that, at its heart, it's still about "two best friends traveling the universe," as it always has been. She elaborated:

The latest incarnation of Doctor Who has received a fair share of criticism lately since the show made its way to Disney+, Ncuti Gatwa landed the lead role, and Russell T. Davies became showrunner once more. But despite the complaints made by viewers, the cast and crew don't seem to mind it. Now, a new cast member has addressed these latest and ongoing criticisms and has a strong response to those who aren't enjoying what this newest take on this long-running sci-fi series has to offer.
Millie Gibson, who plays Ruby Sunday in Doctor Who, addressed these latest comments about the show in a recent interview with The Standard, especially the ones that described the series as "woke." According to her, people should "get over it" as it's about "two best friends traveling the universe."

Doctor Whohas always been a progressive show. Throughout the years since its reboot in 2005, it always made an effort to showcase people of color, LGBT+ people, and disabled people. But some people have taken exception to that.
A small, vocal minority objects to Doctor Who's inclusivity, calling it "woke." But the cast and crew of the show aren't taking that lying down. Millie Gibson, who plays Ruby Sunday, said as much in a recent interview with UK publication The Standard. "I'd just watch the show for what it is," she said firmly.
She called back to past eras of the show to highlight the fact that it was always diverse. "I remember watching an episode where David Tennant goes back, I think it's with Martha [Freema Agyeman], and they meet Shakespeare. And he's like, 'Oh yeah, Shakespeare's quite hot.' Ahead of the release of Doctor Whoseason 15, episode 5 "The Story & The Engine", series newcomer writer Inua Ellams has penned a short prequel story featuring the Time Lord. After originally telling Collider's own Samantha Coley that he didn't know whether his spiteful Doctor Whovillainwould return in the currently-airing Season 2 of the timey-wimey series, it seems that Jonah Hauer-King's co-star, Millie Gibson, has now confirmed his inclusion in the upcoming two-part finale, setting in motion the ever-turning wheel of speculation from within the Whoniverse's fanbase. This comes following the pair's involvement in the most recent episode, "Lucky Day," which saw Ncuti Gatwa's titular Time Lord take a back seat and Gibson and Hauer-King, alongside Unit, take center stage.
In an episode of the BBC series The One Show, Gibson confirmed Hauer-King's involvement, saying, "I can say that Jonah comes back – the battle is not won." She continued, "He comes back and Russell [T. Davies] has written an amazing script, as always. I come back as well and I'm reunited with the Doctor and Belinda, played by Varada Sethu.

Natalie Portman has a dream: to return to the Star Wars universe as a Jedi. The Oscar-winning actress became famous for playing Padmé Amidala, the young queen of Naboo, in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace when she was just 16 years old.
During a recent appearance on The One Show on Tuesday, 6 May, Portman shared her thoughts about possibly bringing Padmé back.
Hosts Alex Jones and Clara Amfo asked her if she ever imagined reviving her Star Wars character and how she would like to see Padmé return.
Portman replied with enthusiasm, saying: “With a lightsaber. I think she’d have to be a Jedi. If somehow she were brought back from the dead. That would be exciting.”

If you talk to some, Doctor Who simply hasn't been the same since Peter Capaldi and Steven Moffat left in 2017. Since then, dropping viewing figures — albeit with a universal shift in the way we consume television — and a decline in critical reception have seen the sci-fi series on shakier ground than ever before. Still, the return of Russell T. Davies to the helm and a big budget partnership with Disney looked to steady the ship, but certain metrics would lead you to believe that isn't true.
For The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda (Varada Sethu), their currently airing Season 2 might be receiving top-tier critical ratings, but most would point to the show's Rotten Tomatoes audience rating to prove it is "beyond repair" and requires cancellation. However, when looking closer at this score and the reviews that accompanied it, it seems the "anti-woke" brigade had added the timey-wimey series to their review bombing target list,...

Doctor Who is no stranger to shocking twists, but the most recent episode "Lucky Day" had one no-one saw coming. Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King) seemed like such a nice guy, but he was actually one of the most revolting villains the show has ever known.
It turns out that current Doctor Ncuti Gatwa was just as shocked about the Conrad twist as the audience was. His season one co-star Millie Gibson, who made her triumphant return to the show as Ruby Sunday in "Lucky Day," revealed all in an interview with Screen Rant. Like so many of the people watching, Gatwa thought that Conrad was just too nice to be a bad guy.
“Even when we did the read-through, I remember Ncuti being like, ‘I don't think I've had a chance to read this episode...’" Gibson remembered,. "We were just turning the pages until I heard Ncuti's reaction. I'll never forget it.

This article contains spoilers for "Doctor Who" season 2, episode 4 -- "Lucky Day."
Even during the cheesy and heartfelt Disney+ era of "Doctor Who," the show often highlights humanity's worst traits. It has introduced multiple toxic masculinity-themed villains like the power-hungry politician Roger ap Gwilliam (Aneurin Barnard) -- who's not-so-subtly coded as a domestic abuser among his other awful traits -- and Belinda Chandra's (Varada Sethu) possessive ex-boyfriend Alan Budd (Jonny Green). After "Doctor Who" season 2 brought back the show's most terrifying one-off monster, "Lucky Day" returns to the toxic masculinity well with a particularly malevolent and all-too-realistic example: Tiktok influencer Conrad Clark (played excellently by Jonah Hauer-King), an opportunistic content creator who'll sacrifice anyone on the altar of fame and fortune.

Doctor Who just dropped an episode all about the Doctor's former companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) and how she's recovering - and not - after leaving the Doctor. She started working at Unit and found herself a boyfriend, but then it all went wrong.
In the episode "Lucky Day," Ruby started romancing a podcaster called Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King) who had briefly met the Doctor as a young child and was seemingly full of awe for him. But Conrad was hiding his real intentions. In a nod to real-life Covid-denial, Conrad believed that everything involving Unit was a hoax, and ended up hacking and terrorizing the organization before being attacked by a monster and ending up in prison.
So poor Ruby was dealing with a lot of negative emotions by the time the episode ended. Gibson spoke to Nerdist about where Ruby goes after such a betrayal. "If I was her,...

The latest "Doctor Who" episode features precious little of the Doctor, nor does it feature much of his current companion Belinda. Instead, it's an Earth-bound story following former companion Ruby (Millie Gibson) as she gets into a relationship with a seemingly nice young man named Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King).
Conrad makes an odd first impression: his first scene shows him as a kid who rudely snatches a coin from the Doctor's hand despite the Doctor having happily offered it to him. But when we catch up to Conrad as an adult he seems to have mostly matured. He's started a wholesome podcast about the Doctor, and when he meets up with Ruby for the first time he acts like a nervous fanboy.
For the first half of this episode, it seems like the episode's writer, Pete McTighe, is aiming for the same spark as another famous Doctor-lite episode: "Love & Monsters." Although that episode is (rightfully!

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Doctor Who Season 2 Episode 4 “Lucky Day.”] Maybe Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King) was just too nice. It certainly seemed like Ruby (Millie Gibson) had not only found a boyfriend but one that she could be honest and talk about her adventures with the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) with in the latest episode of Doctor Who, only for it to turn out to all be a lie. Instead, Conrad was using Ruby and aiming to expose the “lies” of Unit regarding aliens, and Conrad still refused to believe the truth even when one, a Shreek, which had marked him as prey, took a bite out of his arm. Honestly? He deserved it for what he dared to say about Kate’s (Jemma Redgrave) father. But once locked up, he found himself brought briefly onto the Tardis for a confrontation with the Doctor. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Doctor Who Season 2 Episode 4 “Lucky Day.”] It’s hard to return to normal life after adventures with the Doctor. Doctor Who has shown that time and time again, and this time, it’s Ruby’s (Millie Gibson) turn, having left the Time Lord (Ncuti Gatwa) and the Tardis behind. But unfortunately, aliens and trouble are right around the corner. And doubly unfortunate? Her love interest, Conrad (Jonah Hauer-King) is nothing like he seems. He comes across as a sweet guy with whom she can talk about her adventures, only for him to be using her for his Think Tank, a group trying to expose the “lies” of Unit. These people don’t believe aliens exist, even though everyone has seen them. Conrad breaks into Unit and still refuses to accept the truth even when one, a Shreek that has marked him for prey, stalks him. The episode ends with him...

One of the great things about a time travel show is that Doctor Who can jump around in time and space. “Lucky Day” does this better than most, allowing multiple companions and versions of the Doctor to appear throughout the episode. While Ncuti Gatwa does not get the spotlight this time out, Millie Gibson returns to give an excellent performance as Ruby Sunday. More time with Ruby is great news, and “Lucky Day” continues to touch on themes of hatred and disinformation from the first few episodes.

We're almost halfway through the year, and 2025 still has a lot of interesting TV yet to give us. It's time for us to throw a trailer party.
First up, SyFy's sturdy sitcom Resident Alien is returning for a fourth season, with the hard-working Alan Tudyk back for another round as the extraterrestrial who killed a small town Colorado doctor and then took his face, and who then learned he kinda liked humans despite how awkward he was around them. I gotta give it up for any sitcom that lasts this long, especially one with so wild a premise.
The new season begins with Harry (Tudyk) having been replaced by another, more sinister alien, but based on the trailer above, it looks like that plotline gets resolved pretty quickly. There are other hijinks to get to. Resident Evil season 4 premieres on SyFy on June 6.

Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday was the Doctor's companion in season one of Ncuti Gatwa's Doctor Who. She had a fascinating arc, but then it came to an end. However, she didn't leave the show entirely - she'll be back for a Season 2 episode, "Lucky Day."

“As Ruby Grows Up, so Do I”: Millie Gibson Is Just as Excited for Her ‘Doctor Who’ Return as You Are
Doctor Who Season 2 has kicked off with the return of Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and welcoming Varada Sethu as incoming companion Belinda Chandra. After dealing with another pantheon god and the return of the Midnight entity, the next episode of Doctor Who will shift to see the return of Season 1 companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson. When we last saw Ruby, she was parting ways with The Doctor.
When talking with the BBC ahead of her return to the Whoniverse in Season 2, Gibson says of her return:
"It feels like returning home after a long day. It's so nice to be back playing Ruby Sunday in a whole new light. As Ruby grows up, so do I. In Season 2, you see more of a mature and stronger version of Ruby. She’s recovering from her Season 1 adventures, and you see her learn to deal with that a bit.

Doctor Who Season 2 may have split audiences with its opening two episodes, "The Robot Revolution" and "Lux," but Ncuti Gatwa's second full season as the titular Time Lord officially hit its first home run with the most recent Episode 3, "The Well." A sequel to the classic first Russell T. Davies era bottle episode "Midnight," "The Well" chilled spines, held breath, and left viewers on the edge of their seats in the timey-wimey way only Doctor Who can.
With fans still catching their breath three days on, attention is now slowly turning to the upcoming fourth episode of the season, "Lucky Day," which excitingly sees the return of last year's Tardis companion, Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday. Now, in an interview with Radio Times, the former companion has teased what to expect from the episode, specifically when it comes to wardrobe, and how her upcoming appearance is set to have...

Sometimes the best ideas come in the middle of the night, sometimes they're also the most bonkers ideas. That's how, apparently, the idea for an upcoming episode of Doctor Who Season 15 came about. The upcoming episode "The Interstellar Song Contest" was written by author Juno Dawson. Dawson talked with SFX Magazine in a recent issue about how the upcoming Doctor Who episode came about. She says that "Russell [T. Davies] is a workhorse who doesn't seem to need sleep, he emailed me at about 1:30 in the morning." She adds that:
"I didn't see it until my alarm went off at 7am," Dawson continued. "Like any modern person, the first [thing] I did was check my phone – like an addict. And I had this email saying, 'Die Hard meets Eurovision. What do you think?'"
"I handed the phone to my then-husband, and I was like, 'Am I imagining this?' He was just like,...

Audiences don't yet know Doctor Who companion Belinda Chandra very well, and admittedly that's because she's only been in two episodes of the show thus far. But some deleted scenes may have given her more of a backstory.
Varada Sethu's Belinda Chandra has had a good reception so far. Audiences are impressed with the way she's not dazzled by time travel and not particularly charmed by the Doctor. She's certainly very different to the companion who came before her, Millie Gibson's Ruby Sunday, who befriended the Doctor straight away. But Russell T Davies had more in mind for Belinda which was left on the cutting room floor.
He revealed all in a new issue of Doctor Who Magazine, via Radio Times. Belinda's debut episode, "The Robot Revolution" begins with her receiving a star naming certificate from her boyfriend, but it was nearly something different. "There was a very different opening for Belinda,...
