Dorothy Marie Greenwood is a SAG-eligible actor and pop-rock indie songwriter. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in Greeley, Colorado, she fell in love with performing while holed up during an uncommonly long winter in her preteens. After showcasing her talent cross-country, she signed her first recording deal at seventeen while simultaneously falling in love with acting. After moving to Los Angeles in 2017, she began to take on-camera acting classes and auditioning regularly.
Dorothy has been praised for her believable ability to ground big emotions on screen in a relatable way and her natural comedic timing. Her essence has often been compared to the 'hot-mess' quirkiness of Zooey Deschanel and Billie Lourd. Her supporting role in the short film "Return to Sender '' helped win the award of "Best Horror Short" at the Picture's Up! Film Festival and her first lead in a feature film, Our Church Thinks We're Dating, took home second place for Best Picture at the International Christian Film Festival.
Her original music under the artist name 'Dorothy Marie' is available on all streaming platforms.
