Shariff Sinclair
- Actor
Even as a child, Shariff found joy in transporting people to different worlds by embodying the emotions, behavior and perspectives of different characters. His love of acting & entertaining was born in his grandparents' home, where every weekend his family would gather & they'd call him into the living room to perform skits & make them laugh.
Born in Manhattan, NY & raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, Shariff attended Sheepshead Bay Performing Arts High School. Under the tutelage of improv/theatre professor Robin Selfridge, he majored in drama. Sinclair then trained at The Barrow
Group in NYC.
Shariff's career in modeling & as a brand Spokesperson began in 2015. I've represented Karl Zimmer Menswear, PinWear Sports Apparel & Brooklyn United Ties. He has walked dozens of runways from NYC Fashion Institute "Runway 27" to "Rip the Runway", on BET.
Shariff moved into Red Carpet Interviewing & hosting with the 2017 NYC Winter Film Award Gala & have done more than 50 red carpets & hundreds of celebrity interviews.
He was named "Face of Future African American Men" in the Black History Month edition of Heroic Magazine where he was featured alongside Tichina Arnold.
Shariff broadened his love of cooking on two Conde Nast Epicurious shows: Ingredient Swap & 4 Levels. His joy in making people laugh was highlighted on the web series "Pigs in a Bowl" which won AFA's "Best Comedic Web Series".
Shariff's experience in film ranges widely & his resume and competency is genre diverse. He has worked on gritty thrillers, with Sundance winning directors, in documentaries & even a horror anthology that was called "Deliciously
Revolting" by Film Threat. His career took him to live TV in 2023 when he was hired to host and produce The AM Show on The LFN Television network. Shariff developed segments for & hosted a daily 3 hour live show, completing 200+ shows with over 750
hours of unscripted content. Segments ranged from pop culture, fashion & music to current events, sports, interviews & improv. The Network broadcasts across the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
The roar of the crowd & the true joy from Musical Theatre is unparalleled. As the understudy to the lead Rick James (played by Stokley) & with numerous ensemble roles, Sinclair finished a 30-city national tour of "Superfreak: The
Rick James Story" in June 2024 with a performance at the NAACP Theatre Awards Show in Hollywood.
