Leanette Bailey is an American Actress, Producer, Writer, and Singer of Irish-European and Native American descent from West Michigan whose film/TV, Voice, and stage career span more than 20 years.
Her journey began on the stage in high school shows, and then dance with Showstopper's Showcase in The Sound of Music and South Pacific. Finding her way to the college theater, in her first production and open monologues that earned her tremendous peer feedback about her acting ability ... "Get some film training, and then an agent!" As she further trained and performed in local theater in shows like 'Play On!' 'Anybody for Tea?' and 'The Hobbit'.
She later signed with an agency and co-founded Five & Dime Productions as Creative Producer-Director and Recurring Player for the noted multi-award-winning web series You've Got to Be Kidding Me America (2009). And film-noir TV special Clue-less (2009). While acting in numerous non-union local Indie, Shorts, and stage roles of versatility and depth that earned her film festival awards for Supporting Actress Lord Justice: Tales of a Fallen Superhero (2010), A Family Portrait (1998), and various accolades including 'Outstanding Comedic Performance' and 'excellence in Theater' Nunsense II: The Second Coming (2009), The Importance of Being Earnest (2017), Wilde Tales Re-Told (2011).
Most recently she was Production Assistant with Foot'n Ya Mouth! - Live from GR (2023) traveling troupe performing skits alongside 'Duets' and 'Greatest Hits'. Interviewed/published in local ReVue and Grand Rapids Magazines. Enjoying a lifetime of versatile performances at Dog Story Theater, Master Arts, Grand Valley Film & Media, and Compass Film Academy. Turning her attentions lately to screen/play/songwriting, and audiobook/commercial ads. Shooting the occasional screen role as time and opportunity permit.
She has a BS in Business Management from Cornerstone University: Professional & Graduate Studies. Has worked with A.P. Theatrical in Holland MI, The Detroit Metro Players, and the renowned Opera Grand Rapids. And trained intensively in Film/TV and Theater studies with Fubble Entertainment, JMC Studios, Master Arts Theater, and the distinguished Actors Theater Studio. Signing with New Faces Global Talent as an Acting Instructor.
