Ruxandra Porojnicu is a Romanian-born actress based in the UK, best known for her role as Alina Pop in the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2019 Inside Soap Awards, establishing her as a rising talent in the industry.
Ruxandra has since expanded her screen career, appearing in the BBC comedy-drama Boarders, as well as Apple TV+'s hit series Trying. She also starred in the action-comedy film Sumotherhood, playing opposite Peter Serafinowicz and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, under the direction of BAFTA Award-winning actor Adam Deacon.
In 2023, she made her London stage debut in Stray Dogs at the renowned Theatre503-a compelling new play written by Theo Chester and directed by Tommo Fowler.
