1992-1997 Ruslanas Korostenskis studied at the Faculty of Directing and Production of the Kyiv State Institute of Culture, Ukraine.
2000-2003 he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
1997-2001 Korostenskis directed videos of hits by singer Gytis Pashkevichius, pop singer Elena Puidokaite-Atlanta, music groups Mango, B'Avaria, Delfinai, Kastaneda and other performers.
2001-2006 Korostenskis directed commercials for large Lithuanian retail chains Maxima, Rimi, gas station group Statoil, the country's largest mobile operators Omnitel, Bite, Tele2, beverage market brands Kalnapilis, Rasa, Selita, the newspapers "Respublika", "Vakaru ekspresas", the magazine "Laisvalaikis" and others.
In 2004, Korostenskis debuted at the Berlinale Campus with his film "The Light of You Heart".
Since his twenties, Korostenskis has engaged in the Japanese samurai martial art kendo, which is practiced by several dozen people in Lithuania. In 2003, he earned a 3rd degree in the kendo category.
