Anthony Hopkins & Camille Rowe in Thriller 'Where Are You' Trailer
Image
"You know what I see? Fear!" Gravitas Ventures has revealed a trailer for Where Are You, a psychological thriller mystery about a photographer. This initially premiered at the 2021 Locarno Film Festival last year, but made no impact and earned no buzz. Now it's being dumped on VOD later this month. A photographer experiencing an artistic decline begins taking his aggressions out on his super attractive artist girlfriend. When she cryptically disappears, he enters his own subconscious, descending down a spiral of mystery and madness on his search for her, as well as himself. The film's ensemble cast features Anthony Hopkins, Camille Rowe, Irakli Kvirikadze, Ray Nicholson, Angela Sarafyan, Mickey Sumner, Melora Walters, Christopher Ashman, Brad Greenquist, and Madeline Brewer. This is a very strange out-of-the-90s trailer that sells it like a "coming to Saturday night TV" movie special. Doesn't seem that exciting. ›››

Where Are You (2019)
“Scorsese wasn’t thinking correctly” says Marvel cinematographer Dante Spinotti
Where Are You (2019)
Oscar-nominated cinematographer also discussed his son’s directorial debut, Now Is Everything.

Oscar-nominated cinematographer Dante Spinotti has hit back at Martin Scorsese’s claim Marvel films are “not cinema” but more like “theme parks”.

“I think probably Scorsese wasn’t thinking correctly when he said what he said,” said Spinotti, who was director of photography on Marvel feature Ant-Man And The Wasp.

“I divide movie-making into two large categories: good movies and bad movies. That’s all there is to it. Why say what’s a movie and isn’t a movie? I don’t see the point.”

The veteran...

Introducing the 2018 European Shooting Stars
The 10 young European actors selected for this year’s Shooting Stars initiative are in town to meet the global film industry.

While young acting talent is spotlighted annually by initiatives such as Bafta’s Rising Star award and Screen International’s Stars of Tomorrow, European Film Promotion’s (Efp) Shooting Stars programme is the most visible celebration of next-generation thespian talent allied to an A-list film festival.

Each year, 10 young European actors are awarded the Shooting Star accolade at the Berlinale, a five-person jury having selected the winners from submissions by the 37 Efp member countries. The recipients travel to Berlin to meet producers, casting directors and other film industry figures, and are feted at a ceremony at the Berlinale Palast, which this year takes place on Monday February 19.

This year’s line-up includes UK Screen Star Of Tomorrow Michaela Coel, Norway’s Thelma star Eili Harboe, Hungary’s Réka Tenki, who appeared in last...
