IMDbProStarmeterSee rank
Ayisha Siddiqi is a multiple award winning actress on national and international level and upcoming talented screenwriter.

Ayisha Siddiqi graduated from the Acting Academy of Maastricht and kicked of as the winner of the best thesis and lecture performance price of the graduates year 2018. After this kick start after her graduation she directly started playing lead roles in numerous theatre plays for countable names like Het Zuidelijk Toneel and Het Nationale Theater.

Her striking talent didn't go unrecognized on screen either; for her role in Koud she receives her first best actress national award in 2015, In 2022 for Plons, again she wins best acting ensemble international, and again in 2023 for Tandem she wins a best acting on international level award for her in depth layered role as Mona, which got her a screening at short film corner of the prestigious film festival Cannes! Her journey as a winner doesn't ends here, in 2024 she wins the international best actress award for her heartbreaking role in Honeycomb.

In addition to her work as an actress in theatre and film she is starting a new path along side acting, as a new talented screenwriter. This shift stemmed from her own hunger for different kinds of stories, for new perspectives. Her motto is: if she misses these stories, chances are many others do as well. She is determined to change that by amplifying a different voice-her voice-with the goal of opening pathways for voices that have yet to be heard, like hers.

She has previously written for theatre, including Emoji Explosie (HNT Jong) and Zeventien (Het Zuidelijk Toneel), in which she also played the lead roles. Last summer, she was selected for the prestigious Pupkin Film Masterclass program under the guidance of Willem Bosch. This past November, she participated in multiple writing sessions for a new project with Willem and Pupkin. Two years ago, she worked with Dr. Script (mentored by Jan Eilander) to develop her own feature film. Recently, she was selected for the Rose Academy (now Qissa) and will begin in January 2025. She also just completed a successful tour with HNT's production of Romeo & Julia.
