Alan L. "Buz" Lowe is a Writer, Director, Historian, and Actor. He was born, raised, and educated in Little Rock, Arkansas, and by trade, was a Construction Engineer. He is now retired and devotes much more time to writing and film making.

Alan became interested in film and acting many years ago, when he made his acting debut in the made for television movie, "North and South Book II" (1985). Since then, he has appeared in over 30 films, television, and stage productions. During his 33-year acting career, Alan has worked with Eric Laneuville and Kimberly Hardin, among other talented Directors.

In 2005, Alan's first book was published, "Ghosts of Little Rock", containing legends and lore of Arkansas. Since then, he has written three more books, "Supernatural Arkansas", "Sweet Screams", and "Abigail Lost". By 2015, his creative efforts moved to writing and directing films for TV. His well-established fan base will remember such short films as, "Baby Girl" (2015), a short horror/thriller; and "Seekers" (2017), a feature documentary. He then wrote and directed a docudrama, "The Trial of David Owen Dodd" (2018), and the full-length action/horror/ thriller, "Baby Girl" (2021).

In the interim, Alan has been involved with other production companies to help create such greats as: "The Devil Comes Dressed on Sunday Too", as Assistant Director; "Thandi's Love", as Assistant Director; "Inferno California", as Director; and "Streaming Sarah", as Director. These four movies are a product of Planet Muzick Studio out of Birmingham, Alabama. The horror short film from Lucid Lake Pictures out of Alma, Arkansas, is called, "Alone", in which Alan worked as Assistant Director.

Alan is the Writer/Director of a series of short films under the name of, "Portals in Time." The antics of a group of misfit ghost hunters called "Spirits of the South"or "SOTS", is showcased in this series.
