Frederick Wellman

Fred Wellman is an American political consultant, Army combat veteran, and media personality. He advises political candidates, non-profits, and political action committees engaged in pro-democracy efforts as well as managing his own podcast, newsletter and appearing on national media. He was the Executive Director and a Senior Advisor for The Lincoln Project during the 2020 general election campaign and after. He was founder and CEO of his own public relations and advocacy firm focused on veterans for a decade after his retirement from the United States Army. He served for over 22-years as an Army Aviator and Public Affairs Officer including four combat tours in Operation Desert Storm and Iraq. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Harvard Kennedy School. He currently lives in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri.
