Nick Benas, an American writer, actor, and producer, was raised in Guilford, Connecticut.
After high school, he joined the United States Marine Corps, serving four years before re-enlisting and being deployed to Iraq. Following his military service, Benas obtained both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southern Connecticut State University
