Christian Robert Peterson is a classically trained actor known for The Blithedale Romance (2025) and The Two Gambits (2024). His performance as Theodore Wieland in the first adaptation of Wieland; or, the Transformation (Amazon Prime, 2024) drew critical acclaim from Gothic literature scholars, who likened his work to Jack Nicholson's performance in The Shining for its psychological depth and intensity.
Christian trained at Oxford University with the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer program in association with the Yale School of Drama, and at the Michael Chekhov School under master teachers Ted Pugh and Fern Sloan - longtime collaborators of the late Joanna Merlin, one of the last actors to have worked directly with Michael Chekhov. He holds a BA in English (Writing and Literature) and Journalism from the University of Bridgeport, where he is a fellow of the School of Public and International Affairs.
