Nipan Chawcharernpon is an emerging Thai writer-director, VFX artist, teacher, and founder of Nipan Studios in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was born on September 15, 1989 in Chiangmai, Thailand. His name became very sensational when he created the first Thai space adventure short film, the Deepest, which was later selected to be seen at the Cannes Film Festival as Festival Corner. The excellence and creative energy of his work have gained a lot of press and international attention and attracted more than 45,000 YouTube followers and more than one million views of his YouTube channel.

Besides producing films, Nipan is also a part-time college instructor on visual effects subjects at CAMT (College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University) and at Maejo University. He has been invited to be a special guest speaker in short film classes at Maejo University since 2016.

Nipan has created various short films and entered several film competitions since 2012. He has won several awards both domestically and internationally. Among many award-winning domestic short films that he produced are Silent Blue, My First Market, Journey, Happiness, Silent Home, 3 Knocks and Miracle day at Doisaket. His recent work in a web series, Gold From the Sky also gives him international awards in Best Visual Effects from AFIN Film Festival, Australia and from Urban Action Showcase, USA.

Nipan's first full-feature film, Silence of the dusk (2016), was only on a budget of $700. It was the first independent Thai-zombie-apocalypse-thriller film. The film was selected to be shown in theaters as an exclusive film. Even though it was released only in Chiangmai for a week, the film got a number of good reviews and critique due to its own genre and limited budget.

Nipan's second film was Look for me at dusk (2018). The film was featuring in part of the 5-series film, Love the Thirteen. It is a thriller, action, and drama film about a meteorite disaster. The film is unique in the production and visual effects that is unheard of in Thailand's film industry. This is also the first time that Nipan fully collaborated with the cinematographer, Jason De Ford. They also wrote the screenplay together. The film was well-accepted by the audience and the media for a fresh, new take of Thai film.

Nipan's third full-feature film was Soul Prison, a drama-thriller film based on a true story. Nipan planned to film this movie at the end of 2018, and the production started in 2019. The film is scheduled to be released in 2021. This is also another film that Nipan and Jason work together in screenplay and cinematography. Not only is Nipan the director of the film, he is also involved in screenwriting, making VFX, composing the score, and acting.

Nipan's fourth film was Home Sweet Hell (2021), a Thai, drama-horror-thriller film which is still in production. In this film, Nipan takes both the director and screenwriter seats. The film features some of the well-known Thai actors such as Chanon Ukkharachata, Aniporn Chalermburanawong, Jarupong Kluaymaingam, and Kowit Wattanakul. The film is produced under the Arriya Film. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nipan was unable to collaborate with Jason De Ford this time, so in this film Nipan works with Nutthawut Limsakdakul as the cinematographer and a co-art director.
